“I am a very happy, positive person who loves to be around children. This is why I became a PA certified elementary teacher and a Thurston County, WA Nanny! I am a very family oriented person and I feel as though I am a wonderful teacher and caregiver because of my loving family background. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I feel that my personality and educational background is perfect for a nanny position. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 5 years and can honestly say I LOVE what I do! I feel the children are innocent, loving, funny, creative, energetic, adorable, and eager to learn! My goal as a Nanny is to provide quality childcare while enriching the child’s/children’s lives with creative activities, learning experiences, and caring support. I am willing to do housekeeping at the children’s request that includes cooking, laundry, tidying up the house, and taking care of any house pets. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am non-judgmental, kind, patient, energetic, and positive. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include arts and crafts, reading children’s books, exercising and playing sports, going to the park/library, activities with the house pets, and some cooking and baking. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be a loving family that care tremendously about their children and want them to receive that best care available!”
“I was the co-operating teacher for Alyssa. She has taught all subjects to 25 sixth grade students. I am very pleased to write a recommendation for Alyssa. Right from the start, Alyssa was well prepared, enthusiastic, and dedicated to the profession. She immediately took over duties such as taking roll, correcting papers, tutoring, and even began to research some of the topics that she would be covering in social studies. Her lesson plans were well planned and logically organized. She goes beyond the textbook to supplement each lesson making it more motivating for the students. Alyssa performed her duties in a highly qualified and professional manner. She was always eager for advice and suggestions. She has command of the subject matter and is compassionate toward her students. Alyssa possesses a genuine love for teaching and is a natural in the classroom. Her student teaching was outstanding, and I believe she has all of the qualities that make a great teacher. She is highly motivated, organized, assertive, and capable of dealing with the needs and concerns of her students. She is very outgoing and friendly and works well with colleagues and administration. Her enthusiasm is an asset to her teaching ability. She would make an excellent addition to your family as a Thurston County, WA Nanny. I highly recommend Alyssa!”
“Alyssa performed her duties in a most spectacular manner, earning the respect and trust of her charges and her cooperating teacher. It was my privilege to see her develop into a thoroughly competent professional in a comparatively short period of time. Alyssa did a remarkable job! She will be an asset to any family fortunate enough to secure her services as a Thurston County, WA Nanny.”
“It is my pleasure to offer this most enthusiastic recommendation for one of my former undergraduate students for a position as a Thurston County, WA Nanny. I had the good fortune to work with her in my Social Studies Methods, Children's Literature, and Language Arts Methods classes. Alyssa's superior work earned her an "A" in all three of these classes. Alyssa is strong academically, well versed in pedagogy, and has a superior work ethic. She has clearly demonstrated to me that she possesses the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to be a classroom teacher who will make a difference. I can state without hesitation that Alyssa is a superior candidate for employment. She created exceptional project work, bulletin boards, tri-fold displays, theme manuals, and modeled a variety of teaching strategies in our classes during her junior and senior years. She has a very poised and professional classroom presence. The first time that I saw her give an in-class presentation, I knew that she was a unique candidate. Alyssa strives to make her lessons interactive and enjoyable for all of her students. She is one of those rare candidates who seem to have been already teaching for several years. I have seen her interact with students in different school environments including one to one, small group and a full class setting. She is very capable of managing these types of situations smoothly. Selecting a superior candidate for any childcare position is a daunting job, but I can state that I believe that Alyssa would immediately become an asset to any family that employed her.”
