"What impressed me the most about working with ABC Nanny Source was the level of detail and organization in which such confidential information was presented. I received an extensive profile of each nanny candidate prior to her coming to my home for an interview. Once each nanny arrived at my door, I was fully relaxed because I felt I already knew the person in front of me! That’s how detailed these profiles were. The process was made very easy for our family and within a matter of days, I hired the perfect nanny for our children!"

Amy loves working as a Thurston County Governess because teaching comes naturally to her!

“I am a creative, organized, and fun person. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I absolutely love children! I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 13 years and can honestly say I LOVE being a Thurston County Governess! I feel that children are the most important people in this world and need to be guided to prepare for their future. My goal as a Nanny is to guide and teach children, and have plenty of fun along the way! I am willing to do housekeeping that includes cooking, laundry, and cleaning dishes. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am organized, creative, honest, loyal, and trustworthy. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include outside time, reading, any homework, and playing sports! If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be fun, organized, and friendly.”

“Amy was the pre-k lead teacher. She was very caring towards her students and communicative with their parents. Amy strived to have her students develop their academic, social, gross motor, and fine motor skills while they were in her care. She always made sure the children were safe and cared for. I was the kindergarten teacher and head teacher of the daycare center that she worked in. Amy interacted with students of different ages. Her own students were 4 years old. Amy displayed a sense of humor and warmth towards her students. She helped them develop their academic, social, and emotional skills by the classroom and lessons she created. She made sure to keep parents informed of their children’s progress as well as any concerns. She was pleasant and helpful to her coworkers and will always be a punctual and reliable Thurston County Governess.”

“Amy has been my son’s teacher. Initially, Amy was teaching his pre- K class, and began teaching his Kindergarten class. He is very comfortable there and has a core group of about 10 friends that he has moved up with over the last five years. Harmen was four years old when Miss Amy became his teacher. I immediately noted a change in the way that the classroom was run, and in the expectations for the children. Miss Amy initiated Journal Writing for the children and began to integrate a variety of topics to build language and math skills in a more focused manner. I was very pleased that she agreed to teach his Kindergarten class as well. The children were used to having the school as their daycare/childcare home, where there was a lot of individual support and nurturing and learning through play, as appropriate for young children. Amy needed to bring a sense of structure to the group to achieve an environment that is more academic and rigorous. I believe she has been very successful at doing this. The children like Miss Amy, and it is very clear that she fills a different role than their previous caregivers at the school. She maintains the class and commands the respect of the students. Amy has effectively taught language and math skills to the children in addition to science and social studies. My son can write all his letters, has a core of about 30 sight words, can sound out and phonetically spell new words and he can do some simple reading. We have been especially impressed by his acquisition of math skills especially in arithmetic, graphing, telling time and counting money. Amy has successfully taught a Kindergarten class and maintained a rigorous academic environment in a daycare setting. I think she will be a wonderful teacher or Thurston County Governess in any setting. I recommend her with enthusiasm!”

“I highly recommend Amy as a candidate for a Thurston County Governess position. My daughter was a student in her kindergarten class. Amy has been an excellent teacher. My daughter learned so much that year. My daughter was only four entering her kindergarten class. I was hesitant about enrolling her in the class due to her age. I am so glad that I went forward and enrolled her in the class. My daughter thrived in this class and grew tremendously from both an academic and social aspect. The growth is attributable to Amy. She created an environment in her classroom to foster both education development, as well as social growth. In our school, the parents were provided the lesson plans for each day. Her lesson plans were always very creative and her classroom very organized. She has fostered an environment in the classroom to encourage the children to be independent and responsible. My daughter continually amazed me with what she had learned. There were times that I was surprised with things that come out in our conversations! When I ask where she learned that, her answer was always ‘Ms. Amy taught us that in school.’ Amy developed a rapport with both the children in her classroom as well as the parents. The information she provided during the parent teacher conferences was very valuable. She communicated daily if there were any issues or concerns. She is truly able to connect with children. She was very reliable. I have no reservations about recommending her and am sure that she would be an asset to your family!”

“I am pleased to recommend Amy for any position that she may be seeking as a Thurston County Governess. I have known Amy for about seven years, during her employment at Child Development Center. I have watched Amy's abilities grow and develop as she has grown and developed as a person. Amy's love for children has always been evident and their love for her flows back naturally as well. While working at the Center, I have observed Amy working with children of all ages, but I feel she excels with children of preschool age. Amy loves to plan and implement projects and activities for the children. I know that in my absence my classroom will run smoothly and that my students will always be well taken care of in her care.”

“Amy has been my best friend for 8 years. She is always there for me no matter what. I have two children who she is the godmother of and she is loving and always there for them. Whenever Amy is with them I know they are well taken care of and loved. She always puts the children before anything else when she is working as a Thurston County Governess and I knew from the day I met her she was meant to be with children.”

“Amy is very nurturing and attentive Thurston County Governess. I have seen her interact with children both in professional and personal settings. Professionally, I have observed her in her classrooms of 10-15 children. Personally, I have also spent time with her taking care of our godson and his sister, my own niece, and various other children from family and friends. Amy is very attentive to furthering children’s learning and development. I have seen her tailor her lesson plans to different students and work with them one on one based on their individual levels in the classroom. Likewise, when she is providing childcare; she also takes time to throughout the day to teach and further the children’s development in various areas. Whether teaching the children numbers and colors, doing arts and crafts with them, potty training them, or other various activities, she shows great patience and adaptability with each child. I personally have seen amazing progress and growth in all the children that Amy has cared for. I would highly recommend Amy for a childcare position!”
