“I’m a hardworking and good natured person. I believe in always putting your best foot forward in everything you do. I have strong family values and believe in living life to the fullest. When I was younger I cared for family members’ children and I saw something in me that made me love them. Since then I took this profession on as my career. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be a Tacoma Governess over any other profession, it would have to be because of my love and caring for children. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 17 years and can honestly say I am genuine in what I do! I feel children are the most important and will do anything for them. My goal as a nanny is to help other parents who are in need of assistance in raising their children in a peaceful and a positive manner. I am able to do housekeeping that includes cleaning, laundry and cooking. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am humble, caring, loving, dependable and hard working. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include taking children out for outings, for walks and the local library. I would like to create a positive environment for children. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a nanny like me I would hope they would be caring, respectful, and kind!”

“Rita cared for our son since he was 4 months old. She has since nurtured him into the most incredibly fun, good-natured, smart, well behaved and socially adjusted little boy who you can imagine. We honestly have a hard time taking much credit for any of his progress. Rita worked with us 5 days a week, 12 hours or more a day. She got our son up and dressed in the mornings, made him lunch and breakfast, walked/drove him to a variety of classes in the area, arranged play dates, etc. She continually was working on something new with him like sitting, walking, building blocks, learning letters/colors/animals, talking, etc. She read him books, sang to him, used flash cards, played with his toys with him, etc. I always came home to find her down on the floor playing with him…totally engaged with a smile on her face. She was having fun too! She also took him outside all year long…to play or for walks…which he loved, and we found really great. The end result is that my son is totally enamored with her and absolutely lights up when he sees her. Rita kept all of our son’s toys neat, cleaned up after him, took care of his laundry and kept his room in order. She helped us out with light housekeeping, accepting deliveries, etc. She also took him to doctor’s appointments on many occasions when issues arose during the day and we were unable to get home. Rita was (and is!) a wonderful part of our family. We always felt that Rita was absolutely a substitute for us in our son’s eyes…as if he had three parents. When we left for work in the morning – it was like we handed off the baton for the day – she would pick up where we left off and add her own specialness to our son’s day. We knew he was being loved as much as we love him. She kept us very involved during the workday via text messages and pictures and shared stories about him at the end of the day. Rita is an exceptionally responsible Tacoma Governess, very loving and easy-going. Any family would be lucky to have her bright personality and dedication. Rita is an amazing person and a lovely nanny.”
