“I take great pride in my honest, caring, and nurturing personality. My passion for child and family development was the source of my undergraduate degree. I feel that positive role models and loving caregivers in a child’s life provide benefits to self-esteem and social development, and I am confident that I will be a positive role model in your child’s life. In my experience I have formed strong connections with the families I have worked with. This allows consistency regarding care and expectations of the child. I have a passion for learning and love creating activities and daily lessons to promote a fun and structured environment. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be a Snohomish County Nanny over any other position, it would have to be because I have explored elementary education, and early childhood education, and although I loved working with the children, I found that I could make more of a difference in a child’s life working within the family. I feel that nannies are in a position to offer so much positive modeling and provide a greater level of care to a child, and this is why this field is for me. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 8 years and can honestly say I LOVE what I do! I feel the children are sponges with the ability to absorb knowledge and take in new things from their experiences. I feel that children are to be respected and given every opportunity to succeed and grow. My goal as a nanny is to provide a positive, nurturing, and educational environment for children. My goal is to be considered a sense of security to a family, knowing that their child is in capable hands, and will provide an extension of their love, and to fit in with and become part of the family. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes anything child related. This may include but is not limited to cleaning areas where children play, disinfecting and cleaning children’s toys, tidying up, doing the children’s laundry, etc. If the children are in school I would be willing to take on additional housekeeping tasks. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am punctual, creative, energetic, caring, and family-oriented. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include arts and crafts, reading, singing and dancing, lessons that involve motor skill and social development, enrichment trips (i.e. trips to the library, park, etc.), as well as any additional things that the family would desire. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a nanny like me I would hope they would be respectful, caring, honest, and seeking a highly qualified person to care for their child/children. A family that is willing to communicate their needs and goals for their child/children.”

Whether the day's mission includes play-doh, dolls, arts and crafts, board games, or simply engaging in general childhood fun, Ms. Jessica is always a caring, engaging guardian. In short, I simply cannot imagine anyone who would be better equipped for the responsibilities of a full-time nanny. We would not hesitate to entrust our daughter to her in any situation, and would have equal confidence in our daughter's safety, entertainment, and enforcement of whatever rules or boundaries we had established.”

She was the only sitter that I came across that I trusted coming into my house. Once my second daughter was born, Jessica started working for us full time.
