Permanent Full Time Nannies Professional nannies working full time average 40+ hours to 55 hours per week or more on occasion. Nannies offer many beneficial attributes to families; a wide variety of activities and tools to enhance family life. From transportation to meal preparation they provide in-home childcare that is unparalleled. Often times, depending on the circumstances, nannies will assist in light housekeeping and household management. Weekly hourly/salary earnings range from $800-$1200+/week, typically with paid time off benefits! Wages are determined on experience, expectations of duties, and qualifications. Benefits often include paid vacation, paid national holidays, and an allotment of sick/personal days. Questions regarding the official offer are encouraged for clarification.
Permanent Part Time Live-Out Professional nannies working part-time for a family will work a minimum of 25 hours and may work up to 39 hours in a week. Hours may vary from week to week depending on the needs of the family. On average, part-time nannies earn $18-$25+/hour; they may be offered benefits including paid vacation, sick/personal days, and/or holidays if they fall on a typical workday. Childcare is priority in part-time positions! Any/or all expectations will be outlined and clarified in a detailed Offer of Employment.
Live-In Nannies Professional/Career nannies working full-time can expect a 50-60+ hour work week for live in positions. Separate living quarters are provided; room and board is included with an average of a $800-1200+ salary; salaries are more typical with live in positions. Salaries reflect the nannies qualifications, responsibilities, and experience of the nanny hired. Obligation requirements are often different for a family who employs a full-time live in nanny, so flexibility will be essential for a valuable nanny. Families with parents who are both physicians for example, can require them to have abstract hours so your schedule may reflect that. Vehicles are commonly provided for nannies transporting children to appointments, recreational activities, school, and other outings. Most families that employ a live in nanny also have a housekeeper that tends to the heavy cleaning duties. If there are additional requirements with light housekeeping and/or other expectations, it will be made clear in the Offer of Employment signed by both the nanny and the family. Childcare will always be the priority for the nanny!
