“I am a good listener and a very patient person. I love to teach children and I feel the first three years of a child's life are the most important. I have 4 children ages 12, 9, 6, and 3. I have been a licensed child care provider for the past 11 years. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would be because the only thing I ever wanted to be when I grew up was a mom. I potty trained my younger brother and sister when I was just 5 years old. I began babysitting for my parent’s friends when I was 9 years old. At age 23 I became a licensed child care provider. I want to be a nanny because this is my gift. It’s what I do best and it’s what I love doing. I have been serving in some form of child care experience for over 20 years and I can honestly say I love what I do! I feel that children are a gift. My goal as a Nanny is to care for your children as you would. I will give them the time and attention they need and provide them with the skills they need to enter school. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes light housekeeping such as vacuuming, dishes, or meal preparation. I am also good at organizing and could help with that as well. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am patient, happy, fun, kind, a good listener, and organized. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include preschool readiness, music, reading, and field trips. I would like them to be good communicators and kind. I would also like for them to view me as part of the family and not just the nanny!”
