Larysa has made a great impact on the families she has worked for as a Seattle Live In Nanny!
“I have raised and cared for my own children, and have always kept my house tidy, organized and prioritized my daily activities, and thus made the most use of my time! If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be a Seattle Live IN Nanny over any other profession it would have to be because being with children is the best job in the world! I love playing games and laughing with them, I simply love working with children! I have worked with many families over the years, with a wide range in the children’s ages. I love what I do! Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include tennis, bicycling, swimming, walking, reading, baking, singing, listening to music, and perhaps even learning to play some kind of musical instrument. I love to keep active!”
“Larysa has been with my family for years and I highly recommend her for another Seattle Live IN Nanny position. She started with my family when my children were 2 years old and 4 years old and it has been a great experience! She is a very warm and caring individual. Larysa really became like a part of our family. She would help out with transportation to and from activities, meal preparation, laundry, and she would always keep everything very neat and tidy. We are sad to lose her, but our children are now in school all day and unfortunately our needs have changed. Larysa is very dependable and always on time and she is very honest. I do not have anything negative to say about her because she is just so wonderful! Any family that hires her will be happy to have her!”
“My daughter was in Larysa's care for three years. My husband and I both work full-time and we had always planned to use a group day care service outside of the home, but our daughter was born 12 weeks early and was very seriously ill as a newborn. We were urged to keep our daughter at home as much as possible for the first 2 years of her life because her lungs and immune system weren't strong enough for the normal outside world. We hired Larysa so we could keep our jobs and have never regretted this decision. We went to work worry-free, knowing our daughter is in the best possible hands. Larysa has been fabulously reliable. She always was on time ready to work and has only ever had one unscheduled absence, due to a brief illness that she didn't want to risk passing on to our daughter. Whenever Larysa has had her own doctor's appointments or dental appointments she has scheduled them at a time mutually convenient for us (usually very early in the morning or late in the evening when she is not expected to work). Larysa also took it upon herself to be very careful about avoiding others' cold germs, to wash her hands frequently and use hand sanitizer, etc., for our daughter's sake during the first 2 years. Because of Larysa's vigilance (and ours) our daughter avoided all the serious respiratory problems her doctors had warned us about. Unlike many other preemies, our daughter never had to be readmitted to the hospital. As a baby, our daughter had other special needs. Larysa attended several of her visits to specialists, with me, so that she would understand first-hand what her doctors and specialists were looking out for and what therapies she should have. When our daughter was referred to Early Intervention to address developmental delays related to her extreme prematurity, Larysa attended every weekly therapy session (usually without me or my husband, because these sessions were only available during our workday and coached our daughter through all of her therapy "homework" exercises such that she was able to meet or exceed all her developmental milestones in a very short time! Our daughter was speaking her first words at 9 months of age. By 12 months of age she had a vocabulary of over 50 words. By 15 months, she was walking confidently, and talking more and more and more. Of course, my husband and I did everything we could to further our daughter's development but the reality is that our child spent more of her waking hours with Larysa than she did with either of us, so much of our daughter's growth and development is to Larysa's credit. After the first 2 years had passed and our daughter's doctors gave us the “all-clear” to send her to a day care facility if we wanted, we decided she should remain in Larysa's care, even though a day care facility would have cost us much less. Our daughter was clearly thriving and enjoying her days with Larysa. Here are some of the many pleasant things they do together: take walks, visit the park/playground, play musical instruments (especially the piano), sing, dance, make art projects, eat healthy meals and snacks (almost all prepared by Larysa herself), read books, and practice letters and numbers. They watch minimal TV -- I would not mind if they watched more but Larysa likes to keep her busy and engaged in activities, and I think it's great. I also have no concerns about any social delays with her. Even though she hasn't gone to a play group or pre-school, thanks to Larysa's coaching our daughter is quite ready to introduce herself to other small children and invite them to play with her. The economic downturn has been hard on our family and it is for purely financial reasons that I cannot keep Larysa employed until our daughter is ready for all-day public school. I really wish that I could! I'd recommend Larysa to any family in need of Seattle Live IN Nanny without hesitation, especially if the family has a special needs baby!”
