“I have chosen to be a nanny because I’ve always enjoyed taking care of people and most of all children. I have been caring for the needs for others as long as I can remember. I have a soft spot for children and the elderly. As a child I would go and check on two elderly neighbors, and then as I got older I would nanny for my family members and their friends. I believe that if you do what you love you will never be working. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the nanny profession over any other, it would have to be because I have a special place in my heart for children and the elderly. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 4 years and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel the children are I feel like every child is unique and that children are our future. Children deserve to have someone who can interact and guide them in their development, which is essential for their overall growth. I am able to do housekeeping that includes typical household duties. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am optimistic, energetic, trustworthy, caring, and adaptable. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include visiting museums and things to help the children tap into their creative side. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a nanny like me I would hope they would be an outgoing fun-loving family who look to have their nanny to become like an extended member of the family.”
