“Hi, my name is Liz; I’m the youngest of six children in my immediate family. I’ve always wanted a younger sibling, but my parents decided to stop having children after they had me. At a young age I was very fascinated with children even though I was a child myself. My father was the head pastor for our church so every chance I got, I was in my church nursery playing with the babies. Later on, my Dad started an orphanage in my country, so I was there to help out with the little babies. During my teenage years I started babysitting for neighbor’s children. I babysat for about 6 families in my neighborhood. Many of them had 3-4 children with ages ranging from infants to 8 years old. I am very energetic and love to always be busy. I love sports as well. My favorite sport is soccer. I also enjoy playing my acoustic guitar and singing and you could add a little bit of drawing and painting. Over all I’m an artsy person. I’m hoping to teach a little bit of my art to the children I may care for. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other, it would have to be because I believe children are precious should be taken care of with the utmost respect. It saddens me when people mistreat children. I’ve always had a passion for working with kids and it would be great to use the experience I have from over the years to continue to do what I love to do. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 12 years and can honestly say I love what I do! I know the children are our future generation. They are precious gems that should be loved and cared for. My goal as a Nanny is to not only help the parents watch their children, but also be a friend to the child(ren). Whether it is with doing homework, reading a bedtime story, playing with them in the park, my goal is to make the smile and feel safe around me and also make a positive impact in their lives. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes washing dishes, making kids beds, making dinners and even bathrooms if it’ll make the parents life easier. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am trustworthy, caring, artsy, energetic and professional. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include singing and playing the guitar, so I would incorporate an hour for music. I love geography. We could learn about different countries and or even try to memorize them. Sometimes I would take the children on a trip to the museum if the parents gave permission. I love sports so playing in the park would be a great entertainment.
