Barbara's professional experience working in a Sammamish After School Program truly makes her stand out!

“I have worked as a tutor to elementary-aged children. I was trained to tutor in-home in math, ESL and any subsidiary subjects. I worked with children below, at and above grade-level. I have also done private in-home tutoring and work with children. I love working with children and helping them develop their self-esteem and patience. I have helped families with my knowledge of educational testing. I am trustworthy, mature and professional and enjoy children and would make a wonderful asset to a family. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I am interested in going to a family and bringing my tutoring skills and good organizational skills and my love of children, and support to a family. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 6 years and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel that children are fun, smart, engaging human beings. My goal in creating a Sammamish After School Program for a family is to support children, help them grow and learn and support a working family. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes light cleaning, organizing and light cooking. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am genuine, patient, trustworthy, loyal, and friendly. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include reading, playtime, story time, homework time, physical activities, and going to the library. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a nanny like me I would hope they would be kind and genuine people.”
“I had the pleasure of knowing Barbara through the Learning Center she worked for when they had in-home tutoring services. My son was in first grade and Barbara tutored him. She was very patient, caring, and helpful and Sean grew and matured with her help. We asked the Learning Center to have Barbara back again. She worked with us again to help my son with reading, math and to focus for longer periods of time to his academic work. She also made learning fun. Any family that chooses her for their own Sammamish After School Program will be very lucky!”
“I hired Ms. Barbara for a Sammamish After School Program when my daughter was in kindergarten and she helped to tutor my daughter in homework, reading, phonics, and math. We worked together, and I know Ms. Barbara for about 2 years. Ms. Barbara is kind, friendly and caring. She cares about children and is very patient with them. I find her to be very professional and reliable, I highly recommend her to you and to any family and their children.”
“As the father of my daughter, I want to recommend Barbara to you. She has been working as a part of our family in our home as part of a Sammamish After School Program. She has helped my daughter Lo focus, cooperate and to learn. Barbara has also given us helpful advice and information on educational resources and evaluation resources. Our daughter has a learning disability. We appreciate how patient Barbara is with my daughter and how she keeps her on task. She helps her to read, write and work on math problems. Our daughter was in 1st grade when we hired Barbara. She has worked and is a part of our family now. She has, for example, brought my daughter to swim, to visit her neighborhood and to play mini-golf. She has also brought her to a Community Holiday Festival, which Patricia enjoyed very much. Ms. Barbara (as we call her) is reliable, kind, caring and knowledgeable when it comes to helping children. I would highly recommend her to a family and to you at ABC Nanny.”
“I have known and worked with Barbara for many years and in many different ways. I saw first-hand how she learned and became proficient in dental assisting, terminology, concepts and procedures. She went from assistant, to receptionist and finally Office Manager. While here, she also received her 4-year college B.A. Degree, while working. We re-connected when Barbara became a dental distributor representative and called on me in a professional capacity. She always brought passion and product knowledge and was an invaluable aid in helping me and my practice. My long-time association and friendship with Barbara enables me to tell you she is an asset to any company and family searching for a Sammamish After School Program. She brings good solid work ethics and passion to her employers. She is an asset to every place she's worked.”
“I am the proud daughter of Barbara and I highly recommend her to anyone seeking an in-home Sammamish After School Program. I was a child with a learning disability who was raised by my Mom, who was a single, working parent. My Mom realized I had ADD and some minor visual problems at an early age. Thanks to my mother's persistence, I received extra help and resources and was slowly able to advance and learn. My mother provided a safe and healthy home as well. She made sure that I had gymnastics, dance classes and even acting classes at a children’s program at College. She also provided me with an ethical background and education. At around age 8 or 9, I began to participate in The Sunday School Program. I continued this until Graduation at age 13. I became a certified elementary school teacher, then a math coach and now an Assistant Principal. This all happened because of my mother and I wouldn’t be who I am today without her help and encouragement.”
