“I have always been a patient, loving, caring, and nurturing person. Early childhood education has always been a dream of mine and I truly enjoy fostering and encouraging the use of daily life skills and helping each child to develop and use the tools in early education. Toddlers have varying degrees of energy and skill sets, which I find fascinating and a welcome challenge. I absolutely love being in childcare; each day is different and is guaranteed to be fun, a bit challenging, yet always enjoyable! I love their smiles, their enthusiasm, their wonder, and the delight that each child shares with me. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering my time as my church’s Youth Director where I have committed myself in building strong and lasting relationships. Over the years my responsibilities have included administrator, program director, treasurer, and mentor - leading a team of youth leaders and working directly with our youth and their families to build and strengthen a strong foundation in their faith and character. I strongly believe my passion, creativity, talents, out-going personality, leadership, experience with children from birth through young adult, my zest for life and ability to maintain a calm and rational demeanor in various circumstances makes me the perfect candidate for the role of a Redmond Tutor. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the nanny profession over any other, it would have to be because I absolutely love this job! I look forward to getting up every morning to spend time and help shape tiny minds. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 20 years and can honestly say I LOVE what I do! I feel the children are a gift! They are always watching, listening, and learning. My goal as a Nanny is to consistently provide gentle, yet firm guidance, loving reassurance, and lots of hugs & kisses, and be a positive role model in their lives. Develop and sustain a lasting and fulfilling relationship for each of us throughout our lives. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes straightening up rooms that the children played in while I was there, some laundry, prepare meals/snacks as needed. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am loving, patient, devoted, empathetic, and encouraging. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include -trips to the library, park, stores, museums, etc. Walks play dates with other children, reading books, coloring, etc. crafts, early education, and learning skills that are age appropriate. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be loving, nurturing, and good communicators. A family that is looking for a nanny that won’t replace them as parents but will complement their roles and allow me to love and care for their children as if they were my own!”
“I have known Angie for approximately 16 years, mainly through church related activities. Her youngest son and mine have been friends for years, so I have had some social interaction with her as well. Through the years I have observed Angie interact and relate well with children of various ages. She has always exhibited a confident, caring, and compassionate attitude toward her charges. She has an easy, relaxed manner that children of all ages, infants through teen, respond to positively. Angie also volunteers at the church where I teach. She has been a wonderful asset. She works well with children who are well-adjusted, as well as with children who are challenging. She has been patient and encouraging with all the students. She willingly becomes involved in their activities in whatever capacity is needed. I highly recommend Angie as a Redmond Tutor and would certainly be willing to speak to her character at your request.”
“Angie has a gift for working with children and youth. She is fun, yet responsible. She is always smiling and in a pleasant mood. She relates to children in a way that makes them comfortable and wins their trust. I have worked with Angie in the nursery of our church with children birth through 3 years. During her time in the nursery, Angie worked to make improvements to the physical appearance of the nursery by adding pictures of the children and creating a display, evaluating, and making suggestions for equipment/toy replacements and creating a calm and pleasant atmosphere for the babies and toddlers in her care. Angie was never one to sit in a chair watching, but was always on the floor actively engaged with the children in attendance each week. Angie taught elementary level Sunday school classes for many years. Here she was creative in her approaches to reaching the children and in teaching the lessons at a level that would make sense for their age. She took her position and responsibilities as a Sunday school teacher seriously and the kids loved it when it was her turn to teach. Angie has been the youth director for our church for ten years, in addition to continuing to teach our youth and young adult Sunday school classes for our church. Here she is not only responsible for teaching the youth, who absolutely adore her, but she manages a staff of 4+ leaders, creates teaching schedules and schedules for activities, selects curriculum for the youth, and has planned and taken the youth on several mission trips, some involving flights across the country. I would highly recommend Angie for any Redmond Tutor position involving children or youth. She loves children and has a way of connecting with them. She is dedicated and responsible. She is likeable and fun. She is actively engaged with the children under her care. Angie will be an asset to your organization.”
“Angie is a very hard-working individual that will always give 100%. Angie taught the Junior Achievement program in my 3rd grade classroom for several years. She displayed great classroom management and leadership in the classroom. Angie worked extremely well with the students and their learning abilities. She always had a smile on her face and a warm heart. The students always looked forward to seeing Angie and showed her great respect. She built a great relationship with the students. Angie was dedicated and passionate each and every day she was in the classroom. I highly recommend Angie as a Redmond Tutor.”
“I have known Angie for over 20 years; she is such a kind and caring person and would be a fantastic Redmond Tutor. Our family welcomed her help with our youngest son when he was 6, and later diagnosed on the autism spectrum. We always wanted to get our son involved whenever possible with other children but some of his characteristics prevented that. We really wanted him to be part of the children's church. The children would sit up front with the pastor for a 5-10 minute lesson and would then be dismissed to the children's wing for crafts, lessons, and snacks. Our son couldn't walk into the crowded church so how on earth could we have him sit up front, and participate with others afterwards? Angie offered her help and after several months of patience, determination, and lots of love, we watched her and our son proudly walk up in front of a crowded church, sit, and listen to the preacher. He doesn't take to people very easily, but he took to Angie. It takes a special type of person to work with children and make an impact on their life; Angie is that type of person. I would highly recommend Angie for any position that involves children of all ages.”
“I am the pastor of a Methodist Church; I have served as the pastor of these churches for almost 25 years. I have known Angie and her family for most of those 25 years. They have been active members of our congregation and have faithfully served in many areas of ministry. Specifically, Angie has spent many years involved in our youth ministry, and has served as the Director of Youth for more than a decade. I've had many occasions to observe her with children and youth, and have recognized that she has a gift. She has a knack for relating to the young in a way that's never condescending. She's open, caring, and has a way of bringing out the best in each child. She's reliable and compassionate. And the young people have a great deal of respect for her. I would highly recommend Angie for any position relating to children or child-care, and definitely as a Redmond Tutor. My wife, who is the teacher in our pre-school program, has worked with Angie over the past couple of months. My wife has told me repeatedly that she's an asset to-the program. She is composed and is able to be caring and, when necessary, firm with the children, I highly recommend Angie as a person and as a child-care worker. I would certainly be willing to speak further of her character and qualifications at your request.”
“It has been my pleasure to have known, and worked with Angie for over 8 years. Angie is the Youth Director for our church. I went on retreats with Angie and our youth. She is compassionate, patient and kind. She is someone that the youth of our church look up to and seek out with trust when they have an issue in their lives that they are unsure of how to handle. She has the rare quality of guiding them while remaining objective. She puts together programs that keep our youth interested, and returning on a regular basis. The programs are fun while presenting the youth with knowledge that they find easy to retain and look forward to putting into practice. Angie is the kind of person that keeps calm in stressful situations and makes sure everything is taken care of efficiently, calmly and timely. I would highly recommend Angie for any career as a Redmond Tutor. She is truly blessed with the qualities that it takes to help raise and take care of children.”
