Channel is a Redmond Nanny that loves watching children grow!

“I am the oldest girl out of 5 children, so I have always taken on the responsibility of the caregiver and nurturer. I believe this is why it is so natural for me to extend my hand to a child and their family. I am what you would call the “Go-To Girl” by most of my peers when there are questions they may have about childcare! I felt it was only right that I put my hand into education and the only area that suited me was Childhood Education. Being a Redmond Nanny would not only allow me to watch over a child, but it will also allow me to build a bond with the family as well. In today’s society it’s only right for the family to really know who they trust their child with and I can honestly say that I would do the same. Being a Nanny is not just a job but also a life lesson. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I know that I can truly help a child with everything there is to know about life, how to treat their peers, and how to be respectful to others. I know that my personality and experience with children will allow them to understand how genuine and lovable I am. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 12 years and can honestly say I LOVE what I do! I feel children are blank slates that need positive role models who will be able to understand the child as a whole. Children are the future and it is up to me and society to make sure that they get the best care, education and knowledge that will be the most important factor for their future. My goal as a Nanny is to help the family in all areas concerning the child’s wellbeing. I have always been able to understand the child’s point of view. Sometimes the parent may not be able to do certain things with the child and I would have no problem helping them with anything at all. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes cooking, cleaning, and travel. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am open-minded, trustworthy, dedicated, fun, and grounded. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include reading, learning about all aspects of life (health, hygiene, communication, etc.), exercise, and of course, homework. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be well-rounded, kind and caring, open-minded, and definitely fun!”
