“I truly love working with children! I love expanding their minds and keeping them enthralled in day to day activities. I have taken numerous classes on alternate discipline techniques, building your babies brain, special needs, etc. I have a very nurturing personality in the way I am with children. I worked as nanny for two years and it was the most fun and most fulfilling time I could have wished for. I still keep in contact with the family that I was a nanny for and have a very close relationship with the children. I have been working in childcare for over 6 years and it is something I am truly passionate about. Children are amazing individuals; they are curious about everything and always want to learn something new. It is my goal as a Pierce County Summer Nanny to nurture, teach, love, and enhance children’s lives. I am willing to cook, clean, and walk dogs or help out any other way a family requests. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am loving, nurturing, entertaining, strong, and calm. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include story time, developing motor skills, walks, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, and love. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a nanny like me I would hope they would be a loving close family, one like mine.”
“I have had the absolute pleasure of working with Elizabeth both personally and professionally for the past 9 years. She had been a huge part of my daughter and son's children's life since birth, and I highly recommend her as a Pierce County Summer Nanny. She lived in house with my family for the 1st three years of my daughter's life and the 1st year of my sons. During this time, she was the primary nanny for my daughter as well as my constant companion because I had health complications before and during my pregnancy with my son. When it came time to return back to work, I returned to running and teaching in a daycare facility, Elizabeth remained the primary nanny to both my children. It had become understaffed at the daycare, and I decided to hire Elizabeth to become a teacher's aide, as my daughter had started kindergarten and my son could just attend the school with us. She was just as fantastic of a teacher's aide as she was nanny. I used her in every classroom from infants to pre-k. She also was a favorite to the before and after care children. She became a huge part of improving curriculum and culture in each of the classrooms. During her time at the daycare, she aided in teach the students their numbers and letters, encourage them to be creative thinkers, came up with fun projects, and exercised with them. She assisted in potty training many of the children as well. She also had completed numerous CPR, and educational training classes on various subjects such as child abuse and neglect, special needs, dealing with difficult children, and others. Because of lack of enrollment, the daycare eventually closed, and I began employing her again to be the primary nanny to my daughter and son again. She would drive my daughter to and from school and in between pick up my son's preschool education. She also performed the everyday duties of packing bags and preparing meals. In those 9 years, Elizabeth also had to become well versed in a repertory distress syndrome (RDS), heart complications such as chamber holes, strokes in children and partial complex seizure disorder as my children respectively were either born with or had developed these medical issues. My daughter at age 5 1/2 had a stroke and developed partial complex seizure disorder. For this Elizabeth had to recognize the signs of when my daughter was going into a seizure and what to do when she came out of one. She also had to administer approximately 14 pills at various times of day to my daughter to try and control her disorder. She would also accompany me to hospital and doctor visits. My son was born with repertory distress syndrome (RDS) and a while in his bottom chamber of his heart. Elizabeth was there every step of the way. She went to the NICU each day with and without me each day that he was in the hospital for the 1st month of his life to make sure he was always taken care of, fed, and loved. Once he was able to come home, we both had to learn how to work a heart monitor and train on what to do if he goes in cardiac arrest. Elizabeth became more family to us then she was the nanny or co-worker. I could not have made it through without her and we miss her terribly.”
“Elizabeth provided childcare to my 10-month-old son for six months at his daycare. Beth is an extremely patient, caring, and friendly individual. She has a unique and easygoing personality. She is highly multi-tasked and qualified in supervising and caring for children. She is skilled in many aspects including multiple temper tantrums, diaper changing, feeding, and keeping the children entertained and challenged. My son loved being with her and I know he received excellent care from her. I also was extremely comfortable talking with her and never had a problem addressing anything to her. She did a great job keeping me up to date with whatever my son was doing throughout the day. She is truly passionate about working with children as a Pierce County Summer Nanny.”
“Elizabeth was my daughter's primary child care provider from the time she was approximately 8 months old to 15 months old. Elizabeth was contentious, nurturing, and loving. When I picked up my child from her care she was always happy and neat. She was always willing to be forth coming about my child's day and easy to speak with. My child thrived under her care. My older child also had interaction with Elizabeth as a Pierce County Summer Nanny and again, it was a positive experience.”
“Elizabeth has provided exceptional care for my 2 children, ages 5 and 6, and I highly recommend her for a Pierce County Summer Nanny position. She has always been very patient and nurturing with the children, while also taking a no-nonsense approach to any tantrums and arguments that arise. She has always been very dependable and trusting and I feel blessed to have her as a part of mine and my children's lives. Beth has always gone above and beyond her duties as a caretaker, making herself available when last-minute plans arise. She has always been very understanding, even when having to work overtime, or later than expected. She would even pick my children up from daycare when I would not be able to make it on time. Beth has also become a very dear and personal friend of mine over the years.”
“I have known Elizabeth her whole life she is a very smart kind hearted person. Knowledge is one of her biggest hobbies. She is always there to help with whatever you may need but never taken advantage of. She is and always will be the best person I know and need in my life. She is trustworthy, calm, friendly, and funny Pierce County Summer Nanny with a personality everyone wants to be near.”
