“I am enthusiastic in everything I do. I am loyal to my families. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I have over 120 hours in classes and training including Child Growth and Development, Supervision Awareness, Parent Partnerships, Health and Safety. I respect confidentiality and always perform to the best of my ability! I am the second of four sisters and understand the importance of being responsible for a child’s care. I have chosen to be a Pierce County Mother’s Helper because I am qualified, responsible, and have a passion in caring for young people. I cherish and respect what I do. I feel that children are our most valuable asset and I take cultivating them very seriously considering their potential needs to be nurtured and supported. My goal as a nanny is to grow as a professional, refine my skills, and diversify my techniques as well as love the children I work with. I am able to do housekeeping that includes cleaning, dishes, straightening up, and cooking meals if necessary. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am: loving, caring, nurturing, loyal, and responsible. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include intellectual and physical stimulation, infuse self-discipline and self-respect into our daily communication and most importantly have a fun and safe time! If I was asked to describe the perfect family seeking a nanny like me I would hope they would be loving, trustworthy, respectful and willing to open their family to me!”
“It is without hesitation that I recommend Sandra for a Pierce County Mother’s Helper position with your family. I have known Sandra for approximately three years during which time she has served as the assistant teacher in our Kindergarten classroom. Sandra is punctual and always prepared for the day. She is reliable and dependable. She continues to go above and beyond her job responsibilities and is a true team player. Sandra fully supports our program's philosophy and policies. Sandra is responsible for maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. She works to advance the physical and intellectual competence of her students, supports their social and emotional development, and ensures a well-run, purposeful program responsive to student needs. She establishes positive and productive relationships with families and has an excellent rapport with people of all ages. Sandra is a pleasure to work with and maintains a commitment to professionalism. It is my opinion that Sandra would be a true asset to your family.”
“Sandra came into our lives 3 years ago. She was a teacher's assistant for my son’s kindergarten class. She is great with the children. They naturally gravitate to her. My son developed a bond quickly and greatly. When I saw this relationship develop I asked her if she'd be interested in some childcare for us. So, in the last 3 years she has watched my son numerous times. I trust her in my home and with my son. She does activities with him unlike some caregivers that prefer the TV. I like her as a friend and love her as a great caregiver for my son. My husband and I love our date nights, and she is always on the top of the list for us to call. She will be a great Pierce County Mother’s Helper to anyone's family.”
“Throughout the last nine months, I worked with and co-taught with Sandra and I can attest to her potential as an employee with your agency. Sandra is currently the assistant teacher in our Kindergarten classroom. Together, we instruct 15 heterogeneously grouped students, all with different ability levels. During guided reading, Sandra takes her own group and gives them one on one instruction. She monitors and analyzes continuously to improve student achievement. Her groups receive immediate verbal and written feedback. She conducts assessments on the children three times a year to ensure growth. In and out of the classroom, Sandra professionally assumes full responsibility for her tasks. She follows through with our classroom management plans and helped me incorporate a behavioral reward system. Sandra supports a positive, safe environment conducive to learning through her caring and nurturing nature. She acknowledges, celebrates and values student achievement and ideas. Sandra is extremely conscientious, cooperative and dependable. She is always on time. She exhibits initiative, motivation and self-confidence. She is always willing to share her ideas to better our classroom. Sandra has an excellent rapport with the faculty, parents, and students. Communication is effectively maintained with the parents to let them know how their child is doing socially, emotionally, and academically. She is always willing to put in extra time and stay well after school hours. Sandra also participated in Open House and Parent/Teacher Conferences. Sandra does an outstanding job and I believe she would be an asset to any family lucky enough to have her. It is with pleasure that I highly recommend her for a Pierce County Mother’s Helper position. She will be a wonderful addition to any family and will strive to provide meaningful experiences for all children in her care.”
“It is easy for me to recommend her for positions working as a Pierce County Mother’s Helper with children of all ages. Sandra worked as a Teacher’s Aide in my kindergarten classroom. The moment I met Sandra I knew that she had an immense passion for working with children. Sandra began working at the school quite some time before I took my kindergarten teaching position. From my very first day, it was easy to see that she had developed strong relationships with children as well as parents throughout the school. I could see that parents trusted her and looked forward to speaking with her at the end of the school day. Sandra was always upbeat and happy at work. This attitude was contagious; it was passed along to the children and other staff members. Sandra was the best assistant I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. She took upon tasks joyfully and helped without being asked. The children all respected and loved Sandra. She also took pride in helping in other classrooms. She knew how to specialize instruction for students of all ages. Sandra was a teacher who willingly handled an extra workload and went out of her way to help other employees. Parents hope to find people like Sandra to care for their children. She is patient, kind, caring, and energetic. She treats each child uniquely and takes extra time to show she truly cares. Sandra is a trustworthy hard worker who clearly enjoys her career choice working with children. I admire any family that has a chance to work with Sandra, as she has impacted my life greatly and I know she will do the same to any life she touches.”
“Sandra is a caring respectful and honest woman with a natural calling for working with children. She conducts herself professionally, appropriately and responsibility with an uncanny sense of humor and wit. Children cannot help but respond to her interaction. She compliments positive behavior and isolates negative behavior in a caring and positive way. She works as a team member, taking her role seriously yet is flexible to handle a multitude of situations as they happen. She has proven herself and refined her skills to be a total asset for whomever needs the best Pierce County Mother’s Helper and can bring out the best in those she is responsible for.”
“Sandra is a dedicated, loyal and hard worker. She is excellent with children of all ages. Her love for children is beautiful to witness. She has had several years’ experience in caring for children with ages ranging from newborn to teenager. Sandra has a way of connecting to each child on their own level. She engages them in age appropriate activities, while encouraging and challenging them to grow. Sandra sets boundaries and is excellent at delivering and following through with age appropriate discipline. She understands time management; when to play, and when to work. She understands how children think and behave and knows instinctively how to properly communicate with them to encourage and reinforce positive behavior and how to discourage negative behavior. Sandra uses the proper language and tone when speaking with children; that is in no way demeaning and detrimental to their self-esteem; but instead is constructive and educative. She helps the child see their misbehavior as just that misbehavior and gives them the tools needed to express their needs by using words and or pictures and redirects the child to appropriate behavior and rewards them for it. Sandra will be an invaluable asset to any family as a Pierce County Mother’s Helper. Children flock to Sandra naturally. She is extremely trustworthy and honorable, and your children will be well cared for and happy.”
