“I am an active and happy individual. I’ve been truly blessed with a wonderful life. I’m the oldest of three children born to parents who were very much in love and I think their mission was to raise well-adjusted and happy children who were taught the difference between right and wrong and to treat others as we’d like to be treated. I had 2 children and volunteered for work in all their various activities and sports. I always had fun and never felt like it was work. During that time, I’d been a reading helper at our local elementary school when a teaching assistant teacher in the special education department became available. I was accepted and worked there for the next 11 years. The position was great for me. I got along fabulously with my immediate supervising teacher as well as all the staff. Very importantly, I established a close relationship with the students; I earned their respect by showing them respect from me. Those were 11 years I still cherish. I entered the nanny field 22 years ago. Without a doubt, I’d found my calling. It goes without saying I love all the children I’ve cared for and am still in touch with many of them. Actually, I recently attended one of my little girl’s weddings! The dad of my most recent position took a second shift job and he cares for their children now. So, I am most anxious to find my next family to share my love and care with. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other, it would have to be because care and giving is my calling. Being with children completes me. I have been serving in some form of childcare for over 42 years and can honestly say I love what I do! I believe they come to us in complete innocents and it is my responsibility to instill a safe, secure and loving environment for them and help them in developing strong confident personalities who will become kind and caring adults with good values and positive attitudes. My goal as a Nanny in Sammamish is to keep the children safe. I also consider both small motor skills (age appropriate) and large motor(outdoor activities). after that, I will engage with children on 1 to 1 basis. My goal is to help each child become the best they can be. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes laundry, light dusting, cleaning up from meals and straightening up toys. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am loving, caring, and low key, trustworthy and gentle. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include respect, kindness, sharing, outdoor activities and arts & crafts. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me, I would hope they would be considering me a member of the family and treat me as one.”
“Lynn (or as my children call her Miss Lynn) has worked as a nanny for my family. She is an absolute delight to work with and my children adore her beyond words. Miss Lynn is a modern-day saint when it comes to children. She has a natural ability to connect with children of all ages and constantly goes above and beyond what is asked of her. Finding someone who is trustworthy is very hard however, Lynn is a diamond in the rough. I highly recommend her for any position with children. She is caring, compassionate, reliable, loving, trustworthy, adaptable, and just an all-around amazing human being. If you are seeking the "perfect Nanny in Sammamish " you don't need to look any further, Miss Lynn is the answer!”
“I simply cannot say enough about Lynn and what she has meant to our children and our entire family for the past couple of years. Lynn is very reliable; I can't remember many times over the past couple of years that she was not able to come to work. Lynn was always very accommodating regarding our schedule and would sometimes stay later or come in earlier when needed. Lynn is extremely trustworthy; I never worried about the safety of my children when they were with her. Lynn was very patient with my children and I cannot remember one time that I saw her lose her cool. I highly recommend Lynn for a position as a Nanny in Sammamish. I know that the children you place her with will love her as much as mine have and that you would never be disappointed in her services.”
“I have known Lynn for 33 years. We first met when she came to work as a teacher’s aide in a special education classroom at our Elementary School, where I taught fifth grade. Over the period of 11 years that Lynn was at the school, she worked with a number of students of mine who received extra help in the special education class. This meant that there were many occasions when Lynn and I would discuss the needs and progress of these students. I found Lynn to be conscientious and trustworthy. One could tell she loved the children and loved her job. I also taught Lynn’s two children, so I got to know her as a caring parent who was always supportive and very involved in her children’s activities. Because Lynn and I shared some common interests, our friendship went beyond the school environment. I spent time with Lynn both in her home with her family and with her in other social settings. I have found Lynn to be very dedicated to her children and grandchildren and a hard worker who is not afraid of a challenge. After Lynn left the school and became a Nanny in Sammamish, one could tell when she talked about the children in her care that she thoroughly enjoyed her chosen field.”
