Harriet is a Nanny in Redmond that loves to teach!

“I am an energetic, patient, honest, and reliable child care provider. My goal is to be helpful with nurturing and to bring forth developmental achievements for children. Being a nanny allows me to have a personal partnership with families. I can be more attentive to the development and learning of children especially those with special needs. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be a Nanny in Redmond over any other profession, it would have to be because I can be at my work place and have the comfort of a home environment. I like the idea of being able to travel and explore with children instead of being confined to rules and regulations of a learning institution. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 20 years and can honestly say I love and enjoy what I do! I feel the children are gifts to this world because children have always brought me joy and peace no matter how I may be feeling. I want to have an input in the development and learning of children to become productive citizens. I am able to do housekeeping that includes the children’s laundry, dish washing, and tidying the kitchen and children’s play & sleep areas. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am honest, reliable, patient, energetic and nurturing. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include community walk/outing, visiting the library, arts and crafts, sports, and cooking projects. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a nanny like me I would hope they would be down to earth, fair, honest, patient, and open to new ideas.”
“Harriet was an excellent caregiver for our son with special needs and is a top Nanny in Redmond. She is the reason he is doing so well in school now and thriving socially. We started with Harriet when our son was around 6 months old. Our child has special needs, but Harriet welcomed him and treated him the same as any other child in her care. She provided an environment that our son and the other children thrived in emotionally, developmentally and socially. She was always on the move talking our son to parks, school playgrounds, museums and restaurants. She could do so because she had high expectations for appropriate behavior. Every time we pass her old house, our son motions to go see Harriet. She made an impact in our lives and we still consider her one of us.”
“Harriet cared for our son in her home daycare for over three years, starting from 12 weeks old. She is a warm, loving and extremely capable caregiver who, literally, was a part of every one of our son's milestones during that time, from holding his own bottle to crawling, pulling up, walking and potty training. Harriet gave our son a wonderful start in life, and we still consider her to be a part of our family. One of Harriet’s many wonderful qualities is her energy and creativity. She is always taking the children in her care on outings to different playgrounds, children's events, the library and the firehouse. When our son was just an infant, she would take him and the rest of the kids to children's movies and lunch; with the assistance of an extra caregiver she was absolutely unfazed by getting five babies and toddlers with all their gear and strollers on and off the bus. Our son is extremely social and we credit at least some of that to the early socialization and interactions that he enjoyed when he was just a baby. I also loved the way that even the smallest babies were included in every activity; we treasure our son's first artwork done with finger paints when he was only six months old. Harriet has a knack for being able to adapt activities to different ages and abilities. Every morning I would see new "obstacle courses" that she had made of soft objects for her active crawlers to navigate, and toys were rotated in and out of the daycare so that children were always able to enjoy a new challenge. She is extremely safety conscious and 100% reliable. We never saw her talking on the phone or doing unrelated tasks while she was caring for the children. She had a schedule for meals, outings, naps and playtime that kept everything running smoothly. Although she is extremely warm and loving, she also has firm expectations for good behavior from her children, and was routinely approached by onlookers who could not believe how well behaved and lovely her children were. Meals were always homecooked and delicious. Our son is an adventurous eater who loves fruits and vegetables; he will reach for broccoli before anything else on his plate. We definitely credit Harriet with developing his love for varied and healthy foods. We unconditionally recommend her for a position as a Nanny in Redmond and would be happy to answer any questions.”
“We are so grateful for the wonderful care our daughter has received from Harriet since we enrolled her in her daycare and we know she will be an amazing Nanny in Redmond. Our daughter has thrived under Harriet’s direction. She is healthy and has steadily gained weight on the delicious foods. Harriet prepared for the children each day. Our daughter is also meeting and exceeding all her developmental milestones and will soon be walking! She enjoys all the activities Harriet planned every week, from dancing over at the children’s gym to playground and library fun, and her community walks. We are so happy to see the way she smiles at you every morning — we know Harriet is in her heart.”
“I highly recommend Ms. Harriet for a position as a Nanny in Redmond. We will forever appreciate the care that Harriet have provided our children. They have learned so much and thrived under her care. She took them on daily walks around the neighborhood, to the playgrounds, the library, and other community centers. She cooked delicious and nutritious meals and engaged them in daily songs! Both of our children are older now and still enjoy seeing her. We look forward to keeping in touch with Harriet and we will happily recommend her services to other parents looking for care for their young children.”
