“Most people describe me as open, friendly, caring, honest, patient, and a calming influence. For employment, I am responsible, reliable, and flexible. I like to combine fun/play with educational opportunities to help the children develop to their fullest potentials. I have worked with children for over 20 years and it is something that I cherish. I have worked with children from infancy through adulthood as well as children with disabilities. I am currently going back to college to finish a second master’s degree in reading instruction. I have been a nanny, tutor, and teacher over the past 20 years because I believe working with children, helping them learn and become their personal best, is what I am meant to do. Whether I am teaching, tutoring, or working as a nanny, the goal is the same: have fun while learning and experiencing new things. I feel the children are all talented in different ways. Each child has his/her talents and challenges. I enjoy helping children reach their highest potential socially and academically. Through a variety of educational, social, and community experiences, children learn about the world around them and what they enjoy the most. Usually what they enjoy the most is where their personal talents are. I also am able to help them overcome academic and social challenges due to my coursework in Special Education. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes the children’s laundry, light housekeeping, grocery shopping for the children, and pet care (My undergraduate degree was in Animal Science. I was a veterinary surgery tech when I was younger. I am an animal lover.). If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am friendly, caring, responsible, calming, and creative. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include art lessons, arts and crafts, swimming, and outdoor play. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny in Kirkland WA like me, I would hope they would be loving and positive.”
“Karen completed her Special Education student teaching experience in a First-Grade inclusion classroom. The class consisted of 21 students of diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. Twelve, of the twenty-one students, had an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). During the course of her student teaching, Karen demonstrated a high level of professionalism. She interacted with colleagues in a pleasant and thoughtful manner. She showed genuine concern and interest for others and was always willing to help in any way that she could. Throughout her student teaching placement, Karen interacted with all the students in a positive, encouraging way. She was sensitive and responsive to students’ feelings and individual needs. She communicated all her ideas well to her students and to her co-workers. Karen demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness. She designed, created and displayed an excellent hallway bulletin, “I Am Special,” her first week with us. Karen made wonderful progress with the two students that she met with daily to work on selected IEP goals. She consistently treated all students with respect and in return gained their trust and respect. In working alongside her throughout her student teaching experience, it has been very clear that Karen is deeply committed to helping all children learn. She is intelligent, calm, nurturing, and diligent. She looks for the best in each student and helps each one work toward reaching their fullest potential. Karen has complimented our classroom and has been a significant contributor to the successful start of our school year. I am confident that Karen will be a strong asset in any agency seeking a Nanny in Kirkland WA.”

“We love Karen! She was very loving and caring with each child that she worked with. She was specially requested for events several times and she excelled. She took the time to be sure every child felt special and had the individual attention that they deserved. She is a reliable and on time employee and I could always count on her for last minute changes. She is a qualified Nanny in Kirkland WA and has a lot of experience with children. It is always a joy to be around her and I think that she would be a great nanny.”
