“Yvonne is extremely dedicated to her job and will be an asset to any of the Nanny Agencies in Kirkland. She never misses a day's work, she has come to work in snowstorms. She is excellent with our children, both of whom are extremely attached to her. Looking after twins can be very demanding, especially when they are infants, but Yvonne coped with this admirably, quickly establishing a routine and rapport with them. She is always developing small projects with them; from teaching them to come downstairs, to having them learn their address and phone number. She is also an excellent disciplinarian, but she never has to raise her voice or speak sharply to the children to achieve this. Rather she often uses humor or simply tell the children "Am I smiling now?” Yvonne has been very flexible about the hours that she works. While usually working from 8:30 to 5:30, five days a week, she has also accommodated our schedules by working a four-day a week schedule, or by working evenings and occasionally staying overnight, when necessary. Yvonne is also helpful around the house, doing the laundry, keeping the kitchen spotless and doing small amounts of shopping. We trust Yvonne completely: we bought an automatic station wagon for her use and she takes the children to play with other children whose nannies she has met or to their favorite places to go out to lunch. She also normally picks the children up from nursery school on the days when they go. We feel completely comfortable leaving the children with her overnight; in the last year, we have both been away from home for several nights at the same time. On one occasion we took advantage of the fact that the children enjoy being with Yvonne and went on vacation just the two of us for a couple of days!”

“Yvonne provided childcare in our home and we highly recommend her to any of the Nanny Agencies in Kirkland. When we moved, she agreed to come with us and stay for several weeks in order to make the transition easier on our children. When Yvonne started working for us, our son was six weeks old. When he was two-and-a-half our daughter was born, and Yvonne began caring for both children. Yvonne is a warm, caring, trustworthy, and extremely reliable. She has kept our children happy and safe while in her care. She seems to have a particular talent for soothing babies. Both of our children have responded very well to her as infants. As our son grew older, he enjoyed playing games with "E" and learning the alphabet. I often came home to find Yvonne crawling around on the floor giving a "horsey back ride." However, our son also learned that he needed to listen to Yvonne and do what she told him to do. Sometimes we find he pays more attention to her than he does to us. For example, she has always had more success getting him to eat things he does not want to eat than we have. In addition, she has done a great job getting him started with potty training. Yvonne has been very reliable, rarely taking a sick day. She was also very flexible about accommodating our changing schedule. We felt very comfortable leaving our children in Yvonne's care. On several occasions, we left our son with her over night while we were out of town. Yvonne has also been very helpful around our house. She took responsibility for doing the family laundry, making sure that everything was not only washed, but also neatly folded. She also assisted with keeping our house neat and orderly. Although not part of her required responsibilities, she often took it upon herself to clean a bathroom when she noticed it needed cleaning or take out the garbage when she noticed that the can was full. Yvonne loves taking our kids for long walks or outside to play. We will miss her very much!”

“Yvonne worked for our family for two years, since my daughter was 9 weeks old, and the best thing I can say is that at age two, my daughter is a very happy, joyful and curious child. My husband and I work full-time, and due to a pending relocation out of the area, regrettably we must part with Yvonne. The house was always left clean and neat daily, not necessarily as she found it at the start of her day. Yvonne needed little direction and acted independently when she saw some things needed attention. She also had a great deal of respect for the wishes and concerns of myself and my wife.
