“I grew up with a very close-knit family surrounded by intermediate family, who we were just as close with. Growing up, I was put into as many activities as I possibly wanted, advancing mostly in my dance classes which I took 6 days a week. I have always been very outgoing and loved to be the entertainer for everyone. In 6th grade my family moved to the country and this is where I really found myself. I love to fish, ride four wheelers, snowboard and hiking. Throughout college I also involved myself in their dance teams and cheer squads and volunteered as a camp counselor for children with Muscular Dystrophy through Variety club. I have worked in the childcare profession since my senior year in high school and all throughout college, also a live-in nanny for a summer (which I loved). If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to work with Nanny Agencies in Issaquah, it would have to be because of the fulfillment I feel from working directly with a family. While of course working in a childcare atmosphere has many rewarding perks as well, working one on one and watching a child grow over the years and not just in their short period in your class would be amazing. I also love the fact that you can teach the child so much more outside the classroom, such as going to walks to the grocery store, museums, and helping prepare healthy meals. I also love to travel and if I get the opportunity to see the world while teaching about it to a young child would be amazing. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 9 years and can honestly say I whole heartedly LOVE what I do! I feel children are to be loved and nurtured and given the opportunity to express their wants and needs out of life. They should be able to explore through hands-on activities and embrace themselves in everything the world has to offer. My goal as a Nanny is to prepare the child for life’s everyday obstacles, and preparing them for their studies in school. A nanny is to be a mom/dad/friend all in one at all times giving them the guidance and love they need. Also, a nanny should be willing to help around the house especially dealing with the children (laundry, tidying up the house, cooking) and driving the child to classes or appointments. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes cooking, cleaning up after the child, and even grocery shopping. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am outgoing, structured, honest, loving, and fun. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include outside activities, visiting sites around the town, play dates including library story time, and learning time inside the home. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be caring, active, and open to accept me into their family!”
