Nannies in Seattle like Marcia are loved by the families they help!
"I enjoy working with children; I have worked in preschools for over ten years, and would like to try something new. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I enjoy working with children. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 10 years and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel the children are kind, loving, and full of surprises. My goal as a nanny is to be the best that I can be. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes light dusting, or cleaning. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am energetic, loving, efficient, observant, and kind. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking Nannies in Seattle like me I would hope they would be energetic! "
“Marcia was a teacher for me for over five years and proved to be very loyal, extremely dedicated, and was a tremendous asset to our teaching team. As a teacher Marcia is excellent in creating a positive, inviting, learning environment for her students. She is flexible and responsive to children's needs and always fair, consistent, patient, and positive when dealing with disciplinary issues. Her commitment to providing age appropriate activities, encouraging independence and ability to facilitate growth in all areas of a child's development truly sets her high above the average teacher. Marcia always seeks to build a partnership with parents by making herself available and approachable and regularly sharing information about the children's progress. She listens and responds well to them and is professional and tactful with negative information. As a teaching team member, Marcia is reliable, punctual and flexible. She is always friendly and respectful to co-workers and consistently looks for ways to be helpful. Marcia openly and enthusiastically shares her ideas and materials with others. She communicates directly and respectfully and approaches criticism with a learning attitude. Marcia is thoughtful, encouraging and a positive role model who is well liked and respected by her peer Nannies in Seattle.”
“I had the great pleasure of getting to know Marcia Mendez over the last several years. I have three small children who all attended the pre-school Marcia worked at and, in one way or another, Marcia as a teacher was involved in their care and education. Marcia was always professional and courteous. But, more importantly she was a skilled and effective educator with a big heart and a genuine love for children. She was able to manage relatively large classes, and yet was able to focus on the needs of the individual students as one of the best Nannies in Seattle. Ever compassionate and patient, I always felt at ease knowing my children were in her care. She is a wonderful individual with a gift for child care and education.”
“We have known Marcia for approximately five years through our relationship at the day care where Marcia had direct oversight for several of our children. Each day, either entering or leaving school, I observed that our children went out of the way to say goodbye to/ and to hug Marcia. It was evident that she truly cared for our children- I really entrusted my children’s care to Marcia knowing that she cared for and treated our children as if they were her own. As we came to know Marcia further through our relationship at the school, we invited her to our home to care for our children for approximately two to three times per month. She was always dependable and on-time, and always our first choice (including my children’s) when we needed Nannies in Seattle. She was really amazing with the children, filling their time with meaningful activities such as games, puzzles, and exercise at the park. My wife and I would often talk about how lucky we would be to have Marcia as our own nanny. She is a person of integrity, hard work, and character.”
“For the past two years Marcia has been a Teaching Assistant in The Children's Center working with eight infants. Her performance has been outstanding in every way. Her interactions with the children are warm, nurturing, and responsive to their needs, interests, and readiness for learning. She comes to know them as the wonderful little individuals they are and is quite able to respond in individually appropriate ways. She has formed strong partnerships with families based on mutual respect. She has mentored part-time Nannies in Seattle, many of whom are university students, in ways that nurture their growth. Marcia is reliable, prompt, flexible, and creative. She has served as a representative to our internal leadership team for the infant/toddler suite in which she worked. She fulfilled this role magnificently. When she spoke on behalf of her teammates, it was clear that her words did represent them, and were based on in depth conversations with her team. She responsibly and accurately brought information to her team which had the effect of their being well informed. She was able to approach discussions with a view of the whole. A brief description of our Center will help to put all of this into perspective. The Children's Center provides inclusive early care and learning for approximately 200 children who are between three months and six years of age. Among its services are child care, early intervention for infants and toddlers, and inclusive special education services for preschoolers. Its forty-five professional staff members work closely with faculty members and actively participate in the pre-service development of students by offering guided observations, supervised clinical hours and mentoring. Our philosophy, and therefore our curriculum, is based on our understanding of how learning occurs. We believe that all members of our community (children, families, center faculty, and university students and faculty) are of promise and potential that is realized through collaborative inquiry, reflection, and attention to interactive and nurturing relationships. Our community, in turn, is enhanced as each of us grows. The essential components of the Center's philosophy are: Understanding and embracing the value of diversity in individuals of differing abilities, needs, cultures, ethnicities, means and family structures is crucial to our mission and our practice. This understanding and embracing is apparent in the interactions among children, families, employees and the community. All children have the potential to construct and are capable of constructing their own understandings Children come with experiences and interests that are influenced by their lives inside and outside of the Center. Curriculum emerges from what the children and other members of the community bring to the Center. These interests are explored and extended through authentic, meaningful experiences and re-visited again and again to add new insights. Trusting, long-term relationships are essential to growth. Beautiful, inspirational environments are essential to learning and encourage activity, involvement, discovery and the use of a variety of media. Trans disciplinary teamwork acknowledges the interrelatedness of developmental areas in the progressive growth of a child over time. At the Children's Center we bring together educators, psychologists, speech- language specialists, occupational and physical therapists, and music therapists in order to assess and plan for learning. The process of learning for individuals and groups is documented by observation, recording, and reflecting on experiences; using documentation makes learning visible. It would have been a great error for me, and loss to our Center had I not hired her.”
“I have known Marcia professionally for many years. Marcia was a teacher’s assistant in the infant’s classroom which I supervised. She also worked as one of my assistants in the Twos toddler classroom. Marcia did an excellent job in both positions as teacher’s assistant, and was an asset to both Centers during her time at each Center. She has excellent caregiver qualities of Nannies in Seattle. She is very loving and caring with all children, as well as great with supervising children and keeping them safe while in her care. Marcia was always very helpful and had good rapport with the Parents at both Centers, as well as with the other staff members.”
“Marcia and I have known each other for many years. She is my wife’s good friend and was her colleague for the entire time I have known her at a private preschool. Marcia is a teacher by heart. I don’t know details about her interactions with her students at the school because most of it is confidential, but my wife has nothing but praises for her natural talent in being a nurturing and caring caretaker to each child. She has been given awards by the school as well. I strongly believe that nobody becomes a teacher solely for the financial gains and very few individuals stick around for as many years in the field as Marcia has unless they truly enjoy teaching and coaching children. She is diligent and hardworking, and I would completely trust her with my child’s wellbeing if I had one. She has the highest integrity of Nannies in Seattle and will protect anyone under her care with conviction and encourage the child to be the best he/she could be.”
