“I have twenty years of experience working with children. My experience includes head teacher and assistant teacher in daycare classrooms ranging from six weeks to kindergarten. I have a bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and continuing college credits in the master’s program of Counseling Psychology majoring in Elementary Education. I have worked in elementary schools as the social worker, behavioral/mental health agencies, was a foster care social worker, and volunteered as a grief counselor for thirteen years with children and families who have lost a loved one in the military. I feel a child should not be a number in a large group; not all children learn at the same level. While in a daycare setting a child may not be catching on to a lesson and this may go unnoticed or the child may be advanced and getting bored by the lessons taught in the classroom. Being a nanny will allow me to work with the child on his or her level. I find fulfillment in my interactions with children and watching them grow. I believe children do best when they are in a comfortable setting and when supported by their caretaker(s). Children today are our future, and the education and opportunities we offer them when they are young help them develop into the adults that make our future a brighter one. I want to be able to offer my care and support to help them become intelligent, confident adults. If I were asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the nanny profession over any other, it would have to be because the individual care and attention a child receives at a young age will help that child grow and achieve his or her goals throughout life. I feel that if a parent cannot stay at home with a child, the child should be given the opportunity to have a caretaker that will care for him/her as their parent would. I also believe that consistency is very important in a child’s life. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over twenty years and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel that children are a reflection of their parents, families, caretakers, friends, and their environment. They bring happiness and joy to our lives. My goal as a nanny is to offer the best care and support to a child as well as their family. I want the family to feel confident and comfortable with me, and the care I provide. I am willing to do housekeeping related to the child such as tidying up after the children, children’s meal preparation, laundry, etc. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives, I would say that I am caring, kind, energetic, patient, and happy. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include ABCs, colors, shapes, sizes, days of the week, month, weather, and year, reading, walks outside, playing indoors and out, music, and nap time. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking Nannies in Kirkland like me, I would hope they would be caring, kind, and supportive of their child/children and want the best for their child/children. I hope they will offer their child/children every opportunity to succeed and to feel confident and stable.”
“Megan has helped various children obtain the proper classroom placement, as well as various levels of behavior support. She has helped many children to learn various social skills, such as friendship building and conflict resolution. She has also worked as a treatment foster care social worker. This position afforded her the unique opportunity to work with the children prior to placing them into a home. In addition, Megan visited the children in their schools in order to ensure that they were receiving the best proper care, as well as to make sure that they were in a setting that was appropriate for their individual needs. While working in the behavioral health field, Megan also visited her clients at home in order to ensure that their needs were being met and that they were safe and comfortable. She worked as an advocate for these children and she provided them with an opportunity to share their feelings with her. In addition, Megan also volunteers as a mentor and group leader for an organization that works with children and their families who have lost a loved one in the military. As a group leader, she afforded these children the opportunity to share their feelings and concerns in a safe and loving environment. Megan’s love for children has been truly evident in the many ways she shared both her time and talent with them. She has a sincere devotion to the children for whom she is working with, as well as a true desire to provide them with the best possible care I have seen how she interacts with children. She has a unique ability to relate to children on various levels, as well as to provide them with an environment that is both caring and nurturing. I can see her being one of the best Nannies in Kirkland you will ever meet. Megan embodies many wonderful qualities, as well as many gifts that she has to offer to the children she cares for. She is both an excellent role model, as well as a kind-hearted woman who has a true desire to work with children.”
“Megan has a good work ethic and a personable demeanor, and I highly recommend her to any families seeking professional Nannies in Kirkland. Working with Megan, I was able to see her interact with our clients in a positive manner. There was an incident where a child had a tantrum (throwing objects and being belligerent) and Megan was the only staff member able to calm him down. After that incident, he only asked for Megan when he came from his appointments. Megan’s personality allows kids to feel relaxed around her and they feel comfortable to open up to her about issues going on in their lives. I have witnessed our clients make sure they converse with Megan about their day at school, work with her to find a solution to a problem with their friends, or other issues they may have been experiencing at that time in their lives.”
“Megan has been wonderful and is just one of the most amazing Nannies in Kirkland! She took care of my three children on and off for the last ten years; my boys are now ages 16, 14, and 5. Megan not only helped me with my children’s care, but also homework and preparing meals. My oldest son has a high functioning form of autism, and Megan has always been loving and patient with him. I always knew my children were in good hands as well as having fun when in her care.”
“She has cared for my son for the past two years on a daily basis. Megan was always on time, thorough and went above and beyond what I expected of Nannies in Kirkland. I felt comfortable with my son in her care. She took care of his daily feedings, naps, completed light housework, and bathed my son when needed. I recommend Megan without hesitation for a position as a nanny. She is enthusiastic and knowledgeable, a very natural caregiver. I did not feel I needed to instruct her on details, she already knew how to care for a child. Seeing Megan as a mother herself now proves she is more than a good nanny.
“Megan is an excellent choice for a nanny! She is one of the sweetest Nannies in Kirkland you will ever meet. My daughter adores her and always asks when she will be back again as soon as she leaves. She is caring, dependable, creative, trusting and intelligent. I always feel comfortable about leaving my child with Megan because I know she will treat her as she would her own child.”
