“I love working with children. I worked in a daycare for five years and I really enjoyed my time there. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I love working with children! I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 10 years and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel the children are fun, exciting, and they keep you on your toes. My goal as a Nanny is to provide the best care and love to the children as I can. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes cooking and/or cleaning. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am fun, smart, innovative, respectful, and responsible. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include daily exercise, reading, and writing. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Mercer Island Special Needs Nanny like me I would hope they would be a kind family!”
“Rebeca went above and beyond all job requirements for a Mercer Island Special Needs Nanny. Rebeca is an amazing woman. She is wonderful with my children and able to communicate with my husband and me. She shows up to watch my children prepared for anything. She quickly figured out my children’s favorite activities and is always ready for fun, yet she believes in structure. The children have their fun and get to bed at the correct time without hassle. Anyone would be lucky to have Rebeca Nanny for his or her children!”
“I came to know Rebeca about 7 years ago when I was looking for a new Mercer Island Special Needs Nanny. I asked a friend of mine, who was the director of a day care center, to recommend a person she worked with and would trust with the care of her own children. Rebeca was that person. She has been caring for us ever since. My son was an infant and my daughter was about 4 years old when Rebeca first cared for them. Rebeca has been loving, nurturing, responsible and trust worthy form the start. We feel confident that our children are safe and happy each time we leave them in her care. And our children always look forward to her next visit. I highly recommend Rebeca as a candidate for any position working with children of all ages. She has a wonderful rapport with all people, especially with children. She exudes a positive attitude, friendliness and warmth that children immediately respond to. When a child is sad she knows how to reassure and distract him with humor or something of interest in order to cheer him up. She also knows how to keep children occupied with age appropriate activities. She would be an asset to any family.”
“I have known Rebeca for over 6 years. I first met her, when I became a center director at a childcare facility. She was working as a part time employee and going to school full time. I was so impressed with her, when I had my own children, I would ask Rebecca to care for them while we went out. My husband and I always feel comfortable and at ease when we leave our two girls with her. Rebeca is truly gifted with children. She has a gentleness and warmth, which makes children feel very comfortable with her, when they meet her. Rebeca’s genuine love for the children is enduring as both my girls, especially my oldest, greatly anticipates the occasional “play dates” with Rebeca. When I first met Rebeca she was considered a floater and could adapt to any situation that was handed to her. In the summer while she was not in school she would be able to have her own classroom. She was able to handle a very difficult three-year-old room, a spunky two-year-old room and the kindergarten class. Rebeca would also help me plan summer camp for both her kindergarten and summer camp children. When Rebeca had graduated she would become an Assistant Director and she would take on many challenges. She was constantly communicating with all parents by monthly newsletters and having an open door policy thus enabling any questions to be answered at all times. I believe Rebeca’s interest in teaching children and her talent for it is truly in her heart. She has worked tirelessly to complete her degree while continuing to work, which I believe takes incredible discipline and commitment. She has increased her academic knowledge base and worked in jobs, which expanded her experiential base in working with children of diverse ages and cultures. I highly recommend her for a Mercer Island Special Needs Nanny position!”
