“My name is Theresa and I am experienced watching children of all ages. I am fifth in a family of nine and I have been working for friends and family since the age of twelve. I have been recently working for a family with a one-year-old and a four-year-old who attended preschool for a half day program. Right now, I work once a week for a family of three. The children are ages ten, eleven and thirteen years old and all girls. One of them has autism, so I have experience with children that have special needs as well. I have been caring for them for "date nights" for almost two years and I have also been for long weekend over nights, too, as a mother's helper. I am completely comfortable with pets since my family has a wide variety of pets which over the years has included not just cats and dogs, but farm animals and exotic pets as well. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the community of Magnolia Nannies, it would have to be because I enjoy caring for children. I have been serving in childcare for over eight years and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel the children are curious, smart, playful, and lovable. My goal as a nanny is to build a good relationship with the whole family. That is very important to me. I am willing to do housekeeping including cleaning up after myself and the children, laundry, dishes, and vacuuming. I am a bubbly, fun, outgoing, caring, and talkative girl and all of these attributes spill over into my work. I just love doing crafts, outdoor activities, reading books, and playing games with the children I care for! I also don't mind, however taking care of babies and older, school age children.”
“I have had the privilege of knowing her family for twenty years. Theresa’s mother Sue and I met when homeschooling our firstborn daughters. From that kindergarten cooperative we went on to share many activities due to the similar ages of our children and a matching educational philosophy. We value traditional learning with a strong emphasis on creativity. Weekly and monthly events included field trips and hands on activities for multiple ages. Theresa would come to my home with her older siblings who were highly prized as caregivers. These two older sisters and brother were excellent examples for Theresa to follow. When Theresa reached her mid-teens she regularly was responsible for my elementary age son for several hours per week, so I could work as a private duty nurse. Theresa would bring one or two of her siblings along and continued in this capacity for several years. In fine family tradition, Theresa was trustworthy and respectful, with a generous, sweet spirit. Theresa communicated clearly with my son and me and followed instructions thoroughly. I could count on her to enforce television limits and provide plenty of outside activities. Best of all, she would add her own ideas for creative play while maintaining order. Theresa has a special gift for remaining authoritative yet fun. She also keeps a constant eye on safety. Theresa sincerely loves children and the nurturing process and will be amongst the top of the Magnolia Nannies you come across. She is committed to maximizing their growth and development. She did handle multiple children very well. I was never disappointed if I caught her off guard. She was very reliable. I liked that she was creative with them and kept them clean and orderly.”
“Theresa has been caring for our 3 children, now ages thirteen, twelve and ten. Theresa is like a big sister to our girls. Our girls always look forward to seeing Theresa and we know we can trust her to watch our kids. Primary in her duties is the care of our twelve-year-old daughter who has autism. Theresa is very patient with her and great at keeping her engaged and behaved, as well as keeping our other daughters involved in whatever activities are going on that day. She’s also assisted us on numerous day-long outings, including an overnight, as well as working extra hours when we need to be out for an extended amount of time, and has also quickly helped us during a few family emergencies over the past year. We don’t hesitate to recommend Theresa for any families looking for one of the best Magnolia Nannies for their family.”
“Theresa was a nanny for my two children, ages five and one years old and we feel that she is really one of the best Magnolia Nannies out there. She was always engaging my children in fun activities, such as baking cookies, decorating scrapbooks, and catching toads in the yard. She was also very good at preparing their meals and wasn’t afraid to use my kitchen to cook up something for them to eat. Theresa always showed up on time, if not a few minutes early. On the few occasions where traffic or weather caused a delay, she would text or call to let me know she would be a couple minutes late. Perhaps most importantly, my children were always excited to see her and miss her dearly.”
“I have known Theresa’s family for almost 30 years; I have known Theresa since her birth. “Reese” comes from a large family and is a very capable young woman in assisting her mother in caring for her younger siblings. She is also very conversant in the field of making healthy choices when it comes to diet and nutrition, and the physical and emotional wellbeing of young children. Finally, Theresa is a member of a family with impeccable moral values and a very developed sense of always acting in an ethical manner. Finally, she has a friendly and upbeat personality which will bring happiness and joy to the children under her care. If I had children of my own, I would request Theresa to be my children's nanny; needless to say, I recommend highly that she should become a member of your organization because she will be one of the best Magnolia Nannies you have.”
