“I am an outgoing, high energy, honest, people person. A career working behind a desk could never truly be fulfilling to me because I am a very hands-on, creative young woman who likes the “you never know what to expect” aspect of working with children. I am very easy-going and multitask well. I believe discovery and learning something new should be a part of each day, no matter child or adult. Growing up with 30+ cousins meant I was always surrounded by little ones and I feel my happiest and most comfortable when working with children. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Magnolia Domestic Care profession over any other, it would have to be because I am a very domestic type of woman; I enjoy the excitement and structure of working with children as well as cooking and keeping a home looking clean and welcoming. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 11 years and can honestly say I cherish what I do! I feel the children are incredibly unique and entertaining! They are full of innocence and curiosity, which makes each day with them special and fulfilling. My goal as a nanny is to support the family by keeping life structured and running smoothly in the home and with the children when the heads of the household are working or fulfilling other responsibilities. I am able to do housekeeping requests that include any necessary tidying, scrubbing or washing. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am caring, responsible, easy-going, patient and approachable. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include being outdoors and active, creative activities that allow children to express themselves, music, educational games, having children help with their food preparations if age appropriate. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a nanny like me I would hope they would be active, open-minded, family-focused and trusting!”
