“I love working with children of all ages. I love playing, singing, dancing and laughing with them, reading books as well. I want to be a role model to the children by being courteous, polite and humble. I can children to be respectful, to share, and to be independent and brave. I am able to do light housekeeping, cooking, and laundry. I am comfortable children to school and activities. I can take children to park, museum, and library if weather permitted. I am responsible, dependable, organized and trustworthy person, and most of all, I care for children like my own children. Safety first and foremost is my goal while watching children. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the nanny profession over any other, it would have to be because I love being with the children. I can honestly say I LOVE what I do! I feel the children are adorable and precious people in everyone's lives. My goal as a nanny and Laurelhurst Personal Assistant is to give happiness satisfaction and comfort in every family's life. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am honest, attentive, patient, caring and creative. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include set and plan play dates, baking with children, arts and crafts, musical activities and outdoor play. “Lauren worked as our Laurelhurst Personal Assistant taking care of our then, one-year old daughter. We had to end her employment when our daughter was accepted fulltime at her daycare. When we interviewed Lauren, we had already interviewed probably 15 candidates for the position. She stood out right away because we felt that we were dealing with a very straight forward and honest person. She came to the interview with all her and a positive attitude. We felt that though she was reserved at first, she had such a big smile that she would warm up to us and be the right fit for our family. “I had the pleasure of working with Lauren when we were both working in the same household. I worked as a part time housekeeper for the family the same time she was working there as their Laurelhurst Personal Assistant. We were both live-in employees in their household. She was a fulltime nanny to the two children. Her daily schedule consisted of getting the children dressed for school and getting them fed in the mornings. In between, she would be asked to do some grocery shopping and other administrative errands. When the children came home from school, she gave them their baths and tutored them on their assignments.
