“I am a very easy going, flexible, caring, patient, nurturing person. My love for children has lasted for a successful thirty-year career in the education profession. With my passion for working with children it is my goal to become a long-term King County Housekeeper with a family, and to be allowed the privilege to help care for their children. I have a lot of energy, enthusiasm, and would love to share this with a family! I come from a very large, warm and caring family background that instilled very high standards, good values, and excellent work ethics in me. I am married with one daughter. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because of my great passion for working with children, and the need to enhance and better their lives by relaying to their social, emotional, and physical needs. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over thirty years and can honestly say I love and am still passionate about what I do! I feel the children are our future. They need to be nurtured in a loving, non-threatening, stimulating environment where they are encouraged to explore and experiment, learn and grow at their own pace. My goal as a Nanny is to become an extension of a family to help take care of their children. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include all types of learning activities, reading, art, gross motor activities, cooking, outdoor play, and any outside activities that the children might have. “Jamie and I worked together at the Community Center. She was the kindergarten teacher and I was the pre-k teacher. Our classrooms were side by side.
