"I am a very positive and friendly person. I love working with children and making it fun. I am very much into activities and outings to make the day fun. I am looking to finish my degree in education with potential focus on guidance counseling . I am one of three children. The reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other is because I enjoy working with children. Being a King County Governess, while it is a serious responsibility to care for someones child, is fun and allows me to be a child again and to provide excellent private care for a family! I have been serving in some form of childcare for over 10 years and can honestly say that I love what I do! I feel children are the future. Providing excellent care to raise children into becoming happy and healthy adults aids in the future of our country and world. My goal as a Nanny is to provide loving care, a fun but safe environment, and help make a family truly happy and comfortable. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes children's laundry, daily dishes and cleanup, and pet care. . If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am fun, outgoing, positive, happy, responsible, timely, conscientious, polite, and friendly. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include reading, games, arts and crafts, learning, some sports and outdoor games. I like for the day to be stimulating and enjoyable! If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be a family with children from toddler to teenage. I really find more enjoyment in being able to interact with older kids as opposed to infants and babies... but with that said, I do have a hear for baby care as well. But if we are talking completely perfect and ideal, I would like the family to have older children. And I really like multi child families. From the parents, I really appreciate open communication. I like to feel like I can talk easily with the parents and form a friendly but still professional bond.”
"The children were well cared for and reported having an enjoyable time. I first knew Kellie as a middle school and high school teacher at my children’s school, and then a King County Governess. When my husband was called for Air Force reserve duty, I needed an extra set of eyes and ears around the house. Kellie would watch the children while I took care of errands, or vice versa, she would run the children to appointments or take them to the movies or bowling or skating, so I could work at home in some quiet. She was available to sleep over if I had to work out of town, and she was a responsible safe driver and often picked the children up from school and watched them until I came home from work. She would assist them with homework, feed them dinner, supervise their practicing their music lessons, and play board games with them.”
“Kellie is a joy to be around and my boys love her. She is always willing to do what is asked. She has a delightful personality. She has an excellent balance of tough and love to handle working with three boys. They all have such varying personalities and she is flexible with each one. Her biggest strength in my opinion is her consistency. She is consistent with all discipline, love, and follows through. Kellie always does what she says, and I love that trait! She is fun and interactive with all of my boys and can truly tend to all of their needs. We love Kellie and would recommend her for any position as a King County Governess.”
“I worked with Kellie as a reading interventionist. She was always on time and present. The children loved her, and she made learning fun! She truly the kindest, most trustworthy King County Governess I know!"
