“I am a positive person who loves being outside, active, and busy! Outside of my current job caring for 12 two year olds at an academy, I enjoy doing artwork, and being creative in any way I can. Some of my life goals include striving for a whole, healthy, and happy life (and family) and to encourage/ help others do the same! My favorite ways to achieve these goals currently are to be disciplined in my own eating/cooking, personal workouts, devotion to my church, and supporting friends any way I have the means to. I grew up with four siblings and have a huge heart for fostering sibling relationships and parent/child relationships. I’d like to once again be a nanny to change things up and getout of the school setting and to once again help and be part of a family looking for a sincere care for their child(ren). The reason I have chosen to be in the Bellevue Tutor profession over any other is because I adore children. I’ve been drawn to their honesty and energy to experience life for as long as I can remember and I care very much that no harm would come to any little one and I would love nothing more than to make a positive impact on their life/lives! I have been serving in some form of childcare for over 10 years and can honestly say that I love what I do! I feel children are little adults that need guidance and encouragement in discovering who they are. My goal as a Nanny is to nurture as a parent would and love as a friend would. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes light cleaning, laundry, food preparation/cleanup, and facilitating child(rens) chores. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am calm, inquisitive, honest, intuitive, and gentle. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include walks outside, creative activities, any sport they enjoy, cooking/preparing food, routines for cleaning up after themselves and taking care of their home/pets! If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be people who are direct in what they expect on a daily basis, who are easy to communicate with, who treat others with kindness and respect, and who love their children and ensure their is respect for both parent(s) and Nanny.”

“Sarah has cared for my daughter over the last two years. Beyond that I have also seen her as one of my daughter’s teachers at daycare. Sarah always had a smile when we would drop off our daughter and she would share about their day together. I'll never forget when she realized our schedule would be changing and she would not get as much time with our daughter, so she asked if she could take her for a special morning time on one of her mornings off. It was so sweet, and it showed us how much she cared for our daughter. When my daughter was having a rough morning or day when she was at daycare, she wanted Sarah. Sarah was so gentle and calm with our daughter and really tried to learn what she liked and what made her happy. In the last 8 months I have worked alongside Sarah at her current job. I have also seen where she has stayed after hours to then work at the church to care for children when there are events going on in the evenings. Sarah's gifting is with children and her calm and sweet spirit is very good when working with children. “Sarah has been caring for my youngest son (now 2) in a daycare setting for quite some time. She has also worked off and on with my oldest two boys (now 5 and now 3) during that time as well. That said, I cannot say enough great things about Sarah! But, I am going to try. Sarah displays the incredible ability to be gentle, kind, and loving without being "wishy washy". She enforces the necessary rules and boundaries to help the children learn and grow but does it with love! Sarah's gentle demeanor makes it natural for children to trust her and feel comfortable with her which makes it so much easier for me, as a parent, to drop my little one off. Seeing my son run to her for a hug when we walk in the door gives me a sense of comfort that he knows he is safe and in good hands. In fact, just this morning, my chatty toddler could not stop talking about Miss Sarah and how she talks to him and plays with him. He couldn't wait to get to school to see her and called her his "best friend". Although she is not the only teacher he interacts with each day, she is a clear favorite. But, my chatty toddler is also a bit of a rule-breaker and risk-taker at times. Those are the times when I really appreciate Sarah's ability to be firm and confident in teaching him what he should and should not do and appropriately using rewards and consequences to lead him in the right direction. All three of my boys have connected with Sarah and I know the other children that she works with have too. She does an excellent job catering her approach and care to children at each age and level and any family would be SO lucky to have her as a Bellevue Tutor to care for their children.”
