During the screening process for representation with ABC Nanny Source, recruiters and Placement Counselors ask a variety of questions. These are some of the questions that are posed by the agency to assess candidates for acceptance.
1. What influenced your decision to pursue a career as a nanny instead of opting for a childcare position within a school or daycare setting?
2. In terms of children, which age group do you feel most at ease working with?
3. What are your thoughts and perspectives on the subject of discipline? What are your ideas and viewpoints regarding the importance of maintaining discipline?
4. Can you please explain to me what you believe characterizes an exceptional nanny?
5. If any questions arise about the description of a family position, how would you address them? Would you choose to seek clarification before accepting the position or would you simply hope for the best afterwards?
6. Can you please provide insight into the educational and recreational activities you envision including in the daily schedule?
7. Have you encountered a specific communication style when working with previous families? Will you be maintaining a daily events journal to keep us updated on the day's activities?
8. Are you someone who would consider themselves a reliable caregiver?
9. In terms of your most outstanding attribute, how would you define it? And in regard to areas of improvement, what aspects do you feel you should focus on?
