“I am a fun-loving, patient, reliable, honest person. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I came from a big family, I love children. I love watching them grow and seeing them change as they grow. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over nineteen years and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel the children are little gems that should be loved, cherished, and cared for like the apple of one’s eyes. My goals as a Kirkland Before School Nanny is to love, teach, and make the children feel as happy and comfortable and in my care while the parents are away from home. I am willing to do housekeeping at the children’s requests that includes tidying up the children’s toys. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives, I would say that I am reliable, patient, loving, honest, and accountable. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include visits to the library, the zoo, and the museum. I would also like to take the children to play dates, and the park. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a nanny like me I would hope they would be to be as loving, kind, and respectful as I am.”
“Monica has worked as a Kirkland Before School Nanny and caretaker for our family for over 5 years taking care of our two children. She took care of our son when he was two weeks old until he was almost 4 years. She also took care of our daughter from the time of her birth until she was two years old. Both our children are grown up now and going to school and as a result, we are no longer in need of her services. Throughout her time with us, Monica has been a wonderful addition to our family, showing endless love and affection to our children, working tirelessly and with immense patience — even with fussy little ones. She is terrific both as a baby nurse and with young children. She is also a safe and experienced hand, which gave us immense comfort that our children would be well taken care of. She works long hours and overtime and showed great flexibility in accommodating our busy working schedules, which was a major help in allowing us to move ahead professionally. Our children have grown into well-loved, well-balanced, spirited children thanks to the care, love, and attention Monica bestowed on them all these years.”
“Our daughter was born 2 1/2 months premature, and as such, we looked for someone who would be able to provide the extra gentle care that we sought. Monica started working with us in when our daughter was 5 months old. Monica took care of her for 6 1/2 months and was always reliable, loving, hardworking, and independent. She worked long hours and was always willing to work extra hours if needed, which proved to be extremely helpful. From the start, our daughter bonded with her and grew very close to her. As part of her responsibilities; Monica washed our daughter’s laundry, washed the dishes, and prepared her meals. She also helped enrich our daughter’s development by reading to her, enjoying music together, taking her to music classes, and exploring the neighborhood. She also often took our daughter to nearby parks and playgrounds, which she greatly enjoyed. Monica maintained 13 daily logs, which tracked our daughter’s activities, moods, and observations regarding her development. Monica would also inform us of needed supplies well in advance. Monica's ability to meet our schedule demands without question was greatly appreciated. Her patience with our daughter and her ability to handle our daughter’s temperament with gentleness gave us great confidence in her capabilities. Our daughter has developed wonderfully, and we are happy to acknowledge Monica's participation in her growth as a Kirkland Before School Nanny.”
“Monica was our son’s Kirkland Before School Nanny. She began taking care of our son when he was three weeks old and continued to care for him until he was 27 months old. We highly recommend Monica for having done a spectacular job of nurturing our son and creating around him a loving, balanced, joyful, and comforting environment. As attorneys, both my husband and I spend very long hours away from home. Despite those long absences, our son has grown up to be a very balanced, talkative, curious, dynamic, and well-mannered little boy, and we are very happy with the way he is turning up. During her employment with us, Monica worked very long hours. She never missed work, she generally followed all instructions (methodically giving our son his medication for example), she took appropriate initiatives (purchasing educational and development books for example), and was extremely patient with our son. Monica was very loving and caring, extremely safety conscious (during the bath or on the changing table, at home, in the streets, or at the playground). She was very involved and concerned about the well-being of our son (peppering our pediatrician with many questions during visits at the doctor for example). She also set up play dates for our son, took him to museums, the zoo, music class, and other activities. Monica taught him manners, and spent a lot of time talking and singing to him. In addition, Monica is an extremely honest person. Our son has grown, and his needs have changed. He will be attending school full time shortly. Monica remains an important person in his life and she continues to baby-sit our son on weekends. While with us, Monica was an essential and integral part of our household we are delighted with the work that she has done for our son and us. We highly recommend Monica, and would be happy to speak to you further about our experience with her”.
“I have known Monica for fourteen years as a friend and neighbor. It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation. I found her to be honest, reliable, and courteous. Monica babysat my daughter on many occasions. I strongly urge you to hire Monica as your Kirkland Before School Nanny. You will find her to be a great asset to you.”
“My son was almost three months old when Monica began as our Kirkland Before School Nanny, and had just turned two years when she stopped working with us. Monica was terrific with my son. She was caring and nurturing, extremely responsible and safety-conscious, and took initiative when appropriate. Monica took very good care of my son when he was sick. I felt comfortable leaving her with the responsibility of giving him medication, and she followed those instructions carefully. She also had a good sense of what he may have needed when he was not feeling right — be it sleep, a cold compress, or a hug. I found Monica to be extremely safety-conscious. On the changing table, she always held him carefully and never became distracted or flustered with other things going on. Outside in the street, she never rushed, always took her time, and was conscious of cars and other vehicles on the city streets. Monica took him outside every day. On nice days, they spent mornings or afternoons in a nearby playground. In the winter, they spent time at Barnes & Noble, and at a weekly music class. Monica made several friends with nannies from the neighborhood who had children close in age to my son. I really liked this because it gave him the opportunity to be around other children. I also met a few of Monica's friends and they were lovely people. Monica took initiative by keeping track of any supplies that were needed (formula, milk, diapers, ointment, wipes, etc.) and replenished them on a weekly basis without me having to ask her. This was extremely helpful to a working mother. While we were introducing solid foods, she made suggestions and tried different types of food to see what my son would like. She was also extremely helpful with getting my son on a napping and eating schedule — something that is so critical to a baby's development. Lastly, my son was (and still is) a huge fan of Monica's. My husband, my son, and I would highly recommend her to take care of your children, and I would be more than happy to speak with you directly about my experience.”
“Monica is an honest, hardworking, and reliable Kirkland Before School Nanny who has dedicated herself to taking care of children. She is very loving and compassionate, and she loves to go to church.”
