"I am great with children, and I love to keep a full schedule, and still have FUN! When I’m not working I enjoy activities such as tennis, rugby, running, art, music, and of course my favorites cooking and cleaning. My objective is to apply my experience, skills, knowledge, and creativity to provide a safe, positive environment. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I love to work with children and I believe they are the heart and soul of life. Knowing that I have the ability to help raise our future and steer them down the right path is the reason I studied to be a teacher. After graduating, I became a full-time nanny so that I may keep applying my skills in childcare while waiting to pass all needed teaching tests for Certification. I enjoy helping families and providing parents with great nanny care knowing their children are safe and healthy! I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 10 years and can honestly say I LOVE what I do! My goal as a Nanny is to provide parents with a safe, healthy, and fun environment for the children. I am willing to do light housekeeping that includes dishes, children’s laundry, watering plants, cleaning up toys, straightening up, making beds, cooking and cleaning after the children. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am I would say I am a bubbly, refreshing, fun-spirited, caring, and a respectful individual! My favorite activities to incorporate into a work day are walking, going to parks, sports, please touch museum, outdoor activities such as sidewalk chalk and stroller rides, arts and crafts for indoors, music, and reading! The perfect family would be friendly and cooperative."
"Rebecca is fantastic! Rebecca has been the primary overnight caregiver for our twin baby girls as they evolve to sleeping through the night. Our twins were born 10 weeks early! Rebecca has handled their overnight feedings and changings for the past 4 months through their 6 month milestone. She still shares her free time to help sit when she is available. Rebecca is wonderful with infants / preemies! She brings a wealth of experience. She is very patient and thorough. She is always prompt and flexible. The babies love Rebecca! We will miss her very much! She would be wonderful for any family!"
"Rebecca worked for my family for approximately 2 years. She started when I had 2 boys, ages 2 and 6 months, and I was pregnant with my 3rd boy. Rebecca initially helped out one day per week and eventually moved to 2-3 days per week, based on my needs. Rebecca took a significant caretaking role after the birth of my 3rd child, and she has much experience with toddlers as well as newborns. Rebecca’s child care responsibilities included the following: preparing meals and bottles for children, changing diapers, bathing, putting the children down for naps and bed, soothing colicky infants, teaching children independence and responsibilities, and driving to activities and the Queens After School Program. Rebecca’s household responsibilities included the following: doing dishes, doing laundry, making beds, cleaning up toys, and tidying the house. I cannot say enough positive things about Rebecca’s personality and willingness to go the extra mile when needed. With chilren so young, that extra mile is needed quite often. The kids really enjoyed Rebecca’s enthusiasm and cheerfulness. She is very dedicated to her work, not only with the children, but as a caretaker of the house as well. I felt very comfortable leaving my children with Rebecca for a significant portion of the day, and at times, Rebecca would be asked to stay overnight, and she was very responsible with the children. It is very apparent that Rebecca is a “teacher” and not just a babysitter. I am so thankful that my children were watched by someone who had a vested interest in their development. She adhered to our parenting techniques, and she even gave suggestions on how to deal with specific situations based on her experience elsewhere. I would recommend Rebecca to any family with young children, even newborns."
"Rebecca started working for us as a part-time childcare provider when my daughter was 18 months old. She immediately became my daughter’s favorite sitter! When she started working for us my daughter had some complicated medical issues that Rebecca handled very well. Medications were always given on time, and we never had a problem. She always follows instructions to the letter and asks questions to make sure she has fully understood my requests. This reassured us as parents and allowed us to go out without worry. She is always on time, often early. Her rapport with my daughter is astounding; she is able to communicate with her in ways that make her feel safe. As my daughter grew older, her medical issues resolved and Rebecca again helped us immensely. Using her teaching background, she helped our daughter prepare for schooling and testing. My daughter got a great score and was accepted into an excellent private school. We credit Rebecca’s work with our daughter as a major part of this accomplishment. Rebecca has been one of the best babysitters we have ever had. If given the opportunity I would certainly hire her again. She has become a part of our family and I feel fortunate that she is part of my daughter’s life."
"It has been my pleasure to know Rebecca for over ten years, both as a friend and as a colleague. In her position at the Queens After School Program, I have witnessed her kind, caring and giving nature and have learned a great deal by striving to follow her example. In the year and a half she has been employed as our nanny, I have frequently sought her out for advice and she always has a ready and intelligent answer. Rebecca is a highly motivated person who is always eager to better herself in her profession through the reading of books and articles dealing with childcare. I look forward to setting up play dates with her because it is always an adventure. The structured activities she organizes are fantastic and motivate the children to learn and also to have a lot of fun! Rebecca is highly positive and exceptionally giving in her praise of the children's accomplishments. Children naturally feel comfortable around her and enjoy being in her presence. Whether we are taking the children on outings to the park or to activities such as ballet class or bowling, Rebecca is always enthusiastic, cheerful and a lot of fun to be around. If there is any fault with Rebecca it is that she always puts the needs of others above her own. She has a strong desire to please, especially in the workplace. Rebecca demonstrated exemplary customer service skills, was always diligent in her work duties, and was well liked by both customers and staff members. In her current nanny position, I have seen Rebecca execute her regular work duties such as meal preparation, folding laundry, running errands, vacuuming and dusting, and doing dishes and cleaning to the best of her ability, often going above and beyond what was asked of her. She has been frequently praised for her tidiness both at the restaurant and from the nanny families she'd worked for in the past. Her dedication and love for children is inspiring. Without reservation, I highly recommend Rebecca. She would make a wonderful employee to any family who is looking for an amazing and competent nanny."
