10 Step Screening Process For New York City Nannies

Agency Interview
	You can always get a good sense of one's personality based on phone mannerisms, etiquette and presentation. The applicants are asked a series of critical questions concerning their qualifications including their employment history during the first step. Only the most qualified nannies will move on in the application process as determined by our ABC staff.
Document Analysis & Identity Verification
	You may be suprised that many local agencies that have been serving the community for several years do not require an Identity Verification on their Nanny Applicants. At ABC Nanny Source, our Placement Counselors require that every single nanny must submit to a professionally conducted identity verification process before reaching the final acceptance stage.
Vehicle Registration
	At ABC Nanny Source, in order for each NY Nanny applicant to move on to the next phase of the acceptance process, if they are a driving nanny, they must provide a current vehicle registration for the car they will be utilizing. Although nearly all ABC Nannies do drive in Long Island and have their own vehicle, many in the city rely on the subway. You will have all this information in advance prior to making any decision or choice on the nanny that's best for your family; if you require a nanny that does drive or takes public transportation, your search can be customized to include only those candidates that meet your criteria.
One-Year Commitment
	ABC represents Nannies who are seeking long term career positions. Stability is very important to each family and we ask that each of the Nannies make a minimum one-year commitment to be accepted. We institute this pledge as an effort to provide long-lasting placements for all involved.
Code of Conduct
	Each Nanny Applicant is given a Code of Conduct checklist. These reminders address appropriate grooming, timeliness, dependability, and ethical standards.
Photographed
	A picture is worth a thousand words! Each accepted Nanny has a photograph on file to view when considering their credentials and experience.
Drug Testing
	All candidates considered submit to a 5-Panel Drug Test administered by Quest Diagnostics. Results are sent directly to ABC Nanny Source typically within 24 hours.
Reference Verification
	Each and every reference provided by the nanny applicant is contacted by ABC Nanny Source prior to being accepted. The details of each reference is viewable on the candidate's electronic profile.
Criminal Background Checks
	ABC Nanny Source obtains a Nationwide Criminal Background Check on all potential candidates. The Nationwide Criminal Clearance offers a very comprehensive criminal record search. The National Criminal Access File even uncovers criminal history and sex offender information in multiple states and jurisdictions where the applicant has had no previous address history.
Social Security Verification Trace
	The Social Security Trace reveals names and addresses associated with the applicant's social security number for identification and employment authorization. This is another way ABC Nanny Source reassures our families that they are meeting only the safest and most qualified candidates!
