"I’m fun, full of life and have had a wonderful rapport with families and children. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I enjoy forming young lives and helping others. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 20 years and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel the children are a gift to parents and the world. They are our future and life is exciting. My goal as a nanny is to foster and nurture a peaceful environment where the family can thrive in this sometimes chaotic environment. Also, to help teach life skills that will last a lifetime. I am willing to do housekeeping at the children requests that includes helping the children clean up their rooms and clean up the kitchen after breakfast or lunch. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am energetic, lighthearted, smart, trustworthy, and loving. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include doing something fun each day out of the ordinary, such as; reading time, regular library visits, museums, parks, eating on a blanket in the living room in the winter for a picnic, exercise, and singing and dancing. Life does not have to be serious all the time, so I can be silly with the children! If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be professional but still have a humorous, adventurous, and playful side decisions."
"Diane has been one of the most wonderful people to have in our lives. Diane is responsible, dependable, trustworthy, and loyal. Whenever asked to help with any duties that fall outside of her job description she was always accommodating and assisted our family. The entire family loves her warmth and generosity. She is one of the most creative and knowledgeable people we have had in our lives. Our eldest child is a girl and the younger ones are all boys, and Diane was able to relate and connect with all of them personally and emotionally. I attribute this to the fact that she raised three respectful, successful children herself. Diane was never afraid to take on any new task. We miss her dearly and will always recommend her to any new family."
"Diane was an educator, advisor, and mentor to our children while she also nurtured and really cared for our family. She has many outstanding attributes that made us very comfortable leaving the children in her care for so many long hours. We never worried when we left our children, as she took her responsibility seriously. Our children have grown up with her and respect her in every way. She in turn loved our children very much and would try and make whatever they were doing fun. I cannot say enough about how she interacts with children, teens and even young adults. Diane has the skills to be a great caretaker of children of all ages for a Brooklyn After School Program."
"Diane is a close friend. Diane is a lovely woman who relates well with people and especially children and young people. She is a tireless worker at the Brooklyn After School Program and dedicated to whatever task with which she is engaged. One of her greatest assets is her ability to multi-task with efficiency and is seemingly tireless. On a personal note, my own grandchildren have grown up knowing and loving her and miss her very much. I know with absolute certainty that she can do whatever she sets her mind to."
"Diane’s ability to work with people is outstanding. I have seen Diane interacting with every age level and she is loved by all. She has a natural ability to put children at ease and to get them interacting and sharing in a playful, easy manner. Diane has a very positive outlook on life. She is trustworthy, loyal, and honest. She is able to speak her mind and to deal with issues in a frank and direct manner, which is essential when dealing with children. Diane has the gift of helping others problem-solve their internal conflicts while being totally supportive and nurturing, again a crucial skill to have when working with children. I feel so blessed to have Diane in my life, and I assure you, you will feel the same in choosing her for a Brooklyn After School Program for your children."
