“I am very outgoing and kindhearted. With my nurturing personality children tend to be drawn to me. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I love children and working with them makes me feel like I’m on the right path in life. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 8 years and can honestly say I absolutely adore what I do! I feel the children are little balls of energy that need lots of love and attention! My goal as a Nanny is to provide a safe, educational, and fun environment for the children I am supervising. I am willing to do housekeeping at the children requests that includes sweeping, taking out the garbage, cleaning up after the children, and doing dishes. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am punctual, respectful, nurturing, motivated, and kind hearted. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include homework, outside play, various artistic activity, educational activities, baking, and sports. “Amanda has been watching my girls since 2007 when they were 2 years old and 10 years old and I cannot think of a better person to be responsible for my children. At the age of 2 my youngest daughter Emma had a very hard time separating from me and for as much as she loved Amanda and wanted to be with her, she just didn't want me to leave the house. Amanda was amazing; she was patient, loving and kind. It quickly became no big deal for my daughter to separate from me. Now that my older daughter Alexis is old enough to stay home with her little sister, Emma still wants Amanda to come over. On any given day she is more than willing to help me get Alexis to school, cheer or gymnastics or to come over and watch Emma, whether it be for an hour or 10 hours. I could not or would not feel comfortable leaving my girls in the hands of anyone other than Amanda. “I was always too nervous to let anyone but family care for my children until I met Amanda. One of the things I find most impressive about her is that she is very intelligent. On many occasions she has taken it upon herself to help with the girls with their homework (lucky for me!), even the more challenging homework while she was in charge of them. She is not the type of childcare provider that allows the children to occupy themselves; she is a hands-on person that wants the children to have a good time while still completing necessary tasks.
