Timing?
Time is of the essence!! Usually you should expect to begin receiving notifications of families from your placement counselor within a week from your profile being completed. You will of course need to fulfill the requirements for drug testing, CPR certification and provide references to be accepted. We do the rest of the work for you! We will begin sending your professional profile to every family within a 30-minute radius of your home seeking a nanny with your experience level, salary expectations, and availability to review. Your placement counselor will keep you very informed on the different positions you are being considered for. You will be provided with all the information necessary to determine whether the position is of interest to you. If so, we will schedule a call with you to go over the position in full detail. This step is important to be sure you are truly interested. We will want to know about your previous positions, education and schedule availability. Most especially we will discuss how your attributes will coincide with the families needs and requests. Assuming it appears to be a good match from your perspective and your Placement Counselors then we will send your full profile to the family for consideration.

Salary?
This can certainly vary according to a few different things. Your pay will be determined by the job description, how many children the family has and then most importantly the experience you have to offer to the family. We have your very best interest at heart when negotiating your offer and will make sure that you are provided a generous and very fair employment presentation. There are many benefits from having ABC Nanny Source negotiate your offer, one of which is that you will be able to completely avoid the topic of salary, and paid time off which can sometimes be very uncomfortable if you are trying to do this on your own. Typically most full time positions will offer a salary anywhere from $700-$1,000+ per week and part time positions offer an hourly rate anywhere from $18-$25 per hour based on the factors mentioned above.
How do I apply?
The first step will be to fill out the nanny application online. An ABC Nanny Recruiter will be in touch with you within a few days. The recruiter will want to ask you questions in relation to your experience, availability, credentials and location. From there, we will need to obtain references on your behalf so that your prior childcare experience can be verified. Afterwards you will be given all the necessary information to complete the drug testing, CPR certification and the Identity Verification Process. You can be certain that we will have you up and going right away!
