“Sally always treated the children like her own, and gave a lot of her time and attention! My 3 toddlers are overwhelming for me, and I am amazed that Sally handled them as well as she did as one of our Mercer County Nannies. She was always very dependable and reliable, and always displayed honesty and integrity. She is also very wonderful with infants. We all adored her, especially my children; she became part of my family, and I highly recommend her to you!”
“While I was hospitalized during a family move from one state to another, Sallie cared for the children and family as one of our Mercer County Nannies, greatly aiding in a smooth transition in a traumatic time. She made sure the children were happy and comfortable as they began at new schools. Sallie helped my husband set up the new household, unpacking boxes and arranging furniture, while supporting children before and after school with all their needs. Her highly competent care reassured me our family was in good hands in my absence and aided in my recovery.”
“Sallie has been my daughter, Morgan’s piano teacher for several years. The first year, Morgan went straight from the bus to her piano lesson. What other teacher would make you sit down to some hot chocolate before getting down to work? None of Morgan’s previous teachers have come close to providing the musical inspiration that Sallie has provided. Since starting lessons with Sallie, we have never had to ‘make’ her practice since she can’t bear to walk past the piano without sitting down for at least a few songs! Morgan continues to look forward to her visits with Sallie. I attribute a substantial portion of Morgan’s continued love of music to her exceptional teacher. Sallie’s own love of music inspires her students! Her nurturing personality makes her easily accessible as one of ABC’s Mercer County Nannies. Her genuine interest in her students’ abilities and interests drives them to excel. We feel very fortunate to have her as our daughter’s teacher!”
“Sallie is a wonderful mother and I know she will be one of the greatest Mercer County Nannies! Raising me presented her with an array of challenges. Perhaps the most significant was the fact that I suffered from relatively severe dyslexia. My mother researched dyslexia and other learning disabilities, and worked endlessly with me to improve my basic reading skills. I recall that in early elementary school, my reading abilities were almost nonexistent. But after many years of focused effort and working with my mother after school, my ability to read improved, and I was able to excel in my middle and high school English and humanities courses. I graduated from Rutgers University with a 3.9 GPA, and scored in the 87th percentile on the verbal reasoning section of the GRE. Much of these achievements I owe to my mother. When I was in elementary school, my disability was a source of personal embarrassment, causing low self-esteem, and I often lacked motivation to address the issue. But my mother was persistent and dedicated, and she always seemed to find creative ways to motivate me to practice reading, writing, or an ancillary skill. She also challenged me with a countless number of puzzles that she found. As is common with many people with dyslexia, I demonstrated an aptitude with problems involving special relationships, and she worked to further develop these skills by introducing me at a very early age to puzzles like Tan grams, and encouraged my passion for building intricate structures with Lego. I am very grateful to my mother for working with me to develop many important and fundamental reasoning skills from an early age. After working with me throughout elementary school, my mother started work at a private school, taking on some of their most challenging students. She worked with these students very closely in one-on-one sessions, helping them with the sedulous task of conquering their disabilities. While my mother is very dedicated, she is also a very cheerful and encouraging person. Additionally, her patience is unmatched by anyone I know!”
“Sallie has been a neighbor and friend for the last five years. She is a very talented and intelligent woman. She has done some beautiful and creative quilting projects. She has also taught and shared some of those special talents with other people. Sallie is an accomplished pianist and has enjoyed teaching piano lessons to children. She is a very caring and kind person who truly cares about people and is always willing to listen! She had also impressed me with her stick-to-it attitude. Sallie had a problem with her foot and did everything and then some to recuperate and come back even stronger! She is a woman that I would have loved to have take care of my children as one of my Mercer County Nannies. She is a delightful woman, and a wonderful caring person!”
