“I'm a very upbeat and outgoing Hudson County Summer Nanny. I am very patient and believe that children respond best when they get the respect they deserve. I presently work at a daycare where I have been for over a year and have worked as the assistant director at a day camp for two summers. My goal is to become a pediatric nurse. I want to be a nanny because I like to be around children. I think that one on one nanny care is beneficial to children of all ages and I am looking to get into the nanny field rather than continue working at the daycare because I feel that I it is in a child’s best interest in learning as well as play to have more specialized attention. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I love children and there is no other profession that allows you to give specialized treatment to children all day. I have been serving in some form of childcare for over 10 years and can honestly say I LOVE what I do! I feel the children are in need of someone who can teach them new skills while nurturing them. They need someone who will play with them and let them be creative and energetic through their play. Children are the future and the ones that are with them every day are shaping the adults that they will become. My goal as a Nanny is to treat the children with respect and teach them as much as I can while having fun. I will also let the children choose what they want to do so they are truly enjoying themselves while I am with them. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes light cleaning and meal preparation. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include arts and crafts, learning activities (file folder games etc. depending on the age.), outside play, swimming, tag, parks, dancing, songs, story time. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be friendly, outgoing and fun to be around!”
