Families seeking a Nanny from the Gloucester County After School Program love our ABC Nannies like Flore who encourages lots of play time for children.
“I am very energetic, jovial, competent, friendly, tenacious and a positive person from the Gloucester County After School Program. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I am concerned with the physical, emotional, social and intellectual development of the children. Also I am able to work as a team with the children’s parents. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over four years and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel the children are fast learners, and they learn by observing. My goal as a Nanny is to provide a safe, stable and nurturing environment for the children in my care. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes cleaning, laundry, and cooking for the children. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am energetic, patient, jovial, friendly, and competent. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include outside play, Circle time/ story time, lunch time, nap time/quiet time, art activities, and small motor activities. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be respectful, friendly, fair, honest, and family oriented”
”If I could hire Flore again from the Gloucester County After School Program, I would. She was an excellent nanny to my son. She did everything I asked of her and more. She would do laundry, help my son with his school work, and drive him to and from school. She was so helpful and as a military mom I greatly appreciated all her help. She was on time every time. She was always willing to go the extra mile for my son and I. I would definitely recommend her!”
“Flore was a wonderful nanny, and caring for my son was exactly what she did! I honestly felt that watching him was more than just a job for her, and that she cared about his wellbeing. He smiled every morning when she arrived at our house, and as a first-time mom working long days, I always felt very comfortable leaving him in her care. She went above and beyond meeting our son's basic needs! He was always clean, well fed and happy when I returned home in the evening. Our home was also appropriately clean, the dishes were put away, laundry was folded, etc. These are things I never had to remind her of or specifically ask her to do. Flore has an incredible amount of energy, and always took my son on walks, to the playground, to the library, to the bookstore, or anywhere else she thought he would enjoy! She sang him songs and played games with him. I remember coming home one day and discovering that Flore was teaching him to "point" with one finger – a developmental skill that would not have occurred to me, but that Flore was well aware of. I especially appreciated Flore’s experience and all the ways that it made my life easier. She did not have to be reminded of the proper methods of heating breast milk, she had techniques to share regarding introducing different solid foods, etc. At the same time, she was very respectful of my and my husband's roles as parents, and I always felt that she implemented our own view of how our son should be raised rather than choosing to implement her own personal views. She was especially careful on "outings" because our son has food allergies, and Flore was always incredibly conscientious in making sure that he did not come in contact with anything that could make him sick. She is also incredibly patient. Flore is a fantastic caregiver, and your family seeking someone from the Gloucester County After School Program will certainly benefit from her presence!”
“Flore worked with us for two years. She was with us the day my younger child came home from the hospital. I found her to be reliable, trustworthy and very caring and loving, particularly of the baby. She was great at getting the baby on a schedule, and adjusting the schedule as he grew. She was very helpful with transitions to bottle and food. She was great and very patient to get the baby to sleep, and sleep in the crib. For the baby's first year, she was the only person I was comfortable leaving him with! Flore was also good with my preschooler. She is very artistic, creative and does wonderful imagination activities! They would take walks and collect leaves or pine cones and use them for an art project when they returned. She was also very patient with this child. I found Flore to be willing to take direction and follow my preferred methods for the children, or changes to my system. She is very neat and organized and the kids' rooms and playroom were always neater when she left than when she arrived! She successfully got them to sit at the table and eat their meals, even food they may not eat for mom. We appreciated her help and are happy to recommend her to any family looking for someone from the Gloucester County After School Program!”
“My husband and I were very happy knowing that our daughter was in good hands with Flore while we were at work! She got down on the floor and played games with our daughter, was very creative and made a lot of pictures, took her for walks and to the playground often. Flore was always very punctual and our daughter was happy to see her every morning! The only reason why we had to let Flore go was because I decided to stay home right before our second daughter was born. I highly recommend Flore, and think she would be an asset to the next family that hires her from the Gloucester County After School Program!”
