ABC Families love our ABC Nannies with a Cumberland County Housekeeper background like Erin, who loves to organize and keep things tidy.
“All my life, I have loved children! In addition to my passion for children, I consider myself a fiercely creative and artistic person. I love to create activities to do with children and bring out their own talents and gifts. For the past six years I have worked in both preschool and in an elementary school; my field has been Autistic Support. I have learned and grown so much in the last six years! Working with these special children has been a gift to me and I have grown as a person and a teacher just by having them a part of my life. I feel as a Nanny I would have much to give, both love and compassion. I also work well with others and am full of enthusiasm. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I have great compassion and tenderness towards children and understand what it is like to be in their shoes. I feel the children are a blessing to us all! My goal as a Nanny is to help raise wonderful human beings and share all I have to offer to both the family and the children I work with. I am also a Cumberland County Housekeeper so I love to clean and organize and willing to help out around the house in anyway. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am compassionate, honest, creative, energetic, and empathetic! Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include trips to the park to share in nature, art projects and plenty of reading! If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be loving and grounded. I would also hope they would want what is best for their children and encourage their children's or child's gifts and talents.”
“Erin has been wonderful with my Autistic daughter! They first met when Erin was working at a learning center, which my daughter attended. Erin has the Special Education and behavioral experience that I was looking for. My daughter needs more than just a caregiver. She does sign language and does not speak. Erin has been the only person who has been able to care for her! She is very kind, patient, and has a bubbly personality! I think she does well because she has a great personality that children are attracted to. Her and my daughter bonded from the beginning! She is responsible and very reliable. She uses her experiences from being a Cumberland County Housekeeper to keep things neat and tidy. I definitely recommend her for a nanny position!”
“Erin never failed to come to work on time, and the children loved having her! Erin was always in a great mood. She also never let personal issues interfere with her job responsibilities. For example, if she had had a bad day, I would never have known it. She brought items for the children to play with/make crafts with, and this was not needed or expected, but greatly appreciated by my children and me! Then she used her experience as a Cumberland County Housekeeper to clean up afterwards. We have a ten year old son with Autism, and I was pregnant at the time, so her help was vital to my husband’s and my sanity! She is very loving, grateful and respectful, and I think she would do a fantastic job being a nanny.”
“I was the head teacher of an autistic support class located at an Elementary School for two years. During that time I had the pleasure of having Erin on staff as an instructional assistant. She worked with a variety of age groups and learning levels; she displayed patience and dedication with all students. The first year she worked with a 3rd grade student who was part time in our class and part time in inclusion. Erin supported the student superbly in both settings and worked cooperatively with the many members of the team. The second year Erin supported a first grade student. Her reliability and enthusiasm were vital components of the student’s success. Erin was always willing to learn something new and was confident enough to ask questions when she was in need of guidance. I highly recommend Erin for your consideration. She is an essential part of any team as a Nanny or Cumberland County Housekeeper!”
“I know Erin because she worked in a classroom that my child is in; the classroom was for children in the autism spectrum. My child is dual diagnosis because she has Down Syndrome as well. I have found her to truly love the children she works with, she is very kindhearted and she also has a very gentle spirit! She always had the children’s best interest at heart and displayed a very caring, nurturing and patient spirit when working with them. Working with the special needs population takes a special person and Erin displays the qualities that it takes to work with these as well as typical children. She really loves children and that is very evident when you see her interaction with them! ”
