“I love being a Bergen County Nanny because I get to know a family and develop a close bond with the children. I love teaching children new things and watching them grow. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other, it would have to be because as a Nanny I get to make a difference and help to raise wonderful children. I feel children are wonderful people who deserve to feel special and loved for who they are as they are taught more about the world they live in. My goal as a Nanny is to help children learn and grow daily while they have fun. As a part of my job I am willing to do housekeeping that includes children’s laundry, cleaning children’s dishes, helping children keep their rooms clean as well as general toy clean-up. If I had to describe myself in four adjectives I would say that I am kind, intelligent, hardworking, and passionate about my job. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include art projects and crafts. I also love to teach and I would like to make reading a big part of a daily routine. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be a family who loves to have fun.”

“In the spring semester, Amy completed her student teaching experience under my supervision at our University. I observed her instruction in a 15-week student teaching experience, equally divided between a fourth grade, regular education classroom and a K-2 special education classroom. During a science lesson, a thorough lesson plan was made available at the beginning of the lesson. Amy’s delivery was clear, strong, kind, and authoritative. She related very well to the children which drew their attention into the lesson. Amy is always appropriately dressed. Her leading of questioning engaged the interest of students. Amy’s rapport with her students is excellent and her demeanor is incredibly patient and persevering. She is articulate and she is not intimidated, in spite of her gentle nature. Amy exceeded the University's expectations for a student teacher. She will be a wonderful Bergen County Nanny!”
