“I want to nanny to be able to work with children because I think they are wonderful! I think children are important and need to be nurtured in a stable environment to grow and mature into adults and I would like to be able to be a part of that experience for them with a family. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I feel it allows me to build a better relationship with the children and family. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include going outdoors, swimming, reading, and age appropriate planned learning activities that parents want implemented and any other activities the parents would like me to implement. “Christie is a very helpful Bergen County Before School Nanny! When asked to help me with additional work, (i.e. cleaning up etc.), she never hesitated to say yes! She is always taking my children to the park or outings. The children love her, and cannot wait for her to come to our home! She is open minded and fun, but also does not let them take advantage of her. She is very patient and caring! Parents and children love and request her as their teacher. She is stern when needed and always tries to make their time at the YMCA fun! She is able to accommodate different ages and genders at the same time. Christie is one of our senior staff and carries many management responsibilities. Her most valuable asset has always been her involvement with our pre-school and youth swim lesson programs. She has taught all level of swim instruction from our youngest (6 months old) through junior parent/child class up through our oldest youth lessons 7-12yr and everything in-between.
