“I want my life’s work to involve caring for children every single day! There is something about the way a baby looks at the world with brand new eyes that fascinates me and the hope, imagination and invincible nature of toddlers and children never ceases to amaze me! My love for being around and working with children began at a very early age, and this passion has only increased over the years! This is the profession that my heart has chosen! If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I enjoy making a meaningful difference in someone else’s life. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over four years and can honestly say I adore what I do! I feel the children are intelligent little people that are fascinating and have the potential to shape our future. There is nothing quite like looking at the world from a child’s pure, optimistic perspective! My goals as a Nanny are to fulfill my passion of working with children, to enrich the lives of families, and to help children to start off on the right foot! I am willing to do housekeeping that includes tidying the children’s areas and preparing children’s meals. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include daily walks or outdoor adventures (weather permitting); arts and crafts; healthy meals; play dates; music, art or Gymboree classes; and lots of singing and reading! “Hannah is the best childcare provider we have had! She is a great person who is very involved in the Bergen County After School Program. She is reliable, responsible, caring, warm and fun. Hannah’s responsibilities were primarily for the children, but typically I would come home to a squeaky clean house – this, of course, was a bonus! My children were well cared for and happy. My husband and I were beyond comfortable and confident in Hannah’s judgment and care of our children. I never saw her remotely frazzled, she multi tasks well, and truly loves children and all their nuances! She exceeded the job requirements, and taking care of three children under the age of four is a challenge! My children are now 9 years old, 8 years old, and 6 years old, and they still love when Hannah comes over! Hannah is genuinely interested and intrigued by children of all ages. She loves babies and has endless patience for them. At any age, my children loved when Hannah arrived because she would always bring a bag full of crafts and activities that engaged them for long periods of time. She is the type of person who makes the room happier when she walks in! She is positive, welcoming and has always been mature beyond her years. She always complied with my requests relating to limiting TV viewing, enforcing my healthy eating requests with the children and in general just "being on my same page." Hannah is the only childcare provider we ever took on vacation with us because we truly love being with her! She is intelligent, pleasant and a great person to be around! Additionally, she is the only childcare we ever allowed to drive our children anywhere. Hannah is a wonderful person, and anyone has the opportunity to hire her will be truly pleased!"

She is very active and entertaining with the children and yet she reliably keeps them on task with their responsibilities and schedules. “Hannah went above and beyond to provide our children with exceptional care! She was nurturing, creative, and loyal to our family. She was engaged in what was happening with our children, including toilet training, sleep schedules, eating issues, etc. The thing that stands out the most for me about our time with Hannah is how much of herself she brought to the care of our children. Hannah was open and generous with her knowledge, experience and, most importantly, her love. From sharing information she learned regarding child psychology to sharing books by her favorite authors to sharing hours of help potty training our toddler. Hannah gave her all every minute she spent with us! Our children responded to her beautifully! Our toddler asks about her almost hourly and even our infants light up when they hear her voice! Hannah is also an excellent communicator. She will do great as a part of the Bergen Count After School Program! She shared with me things she observed with our kids (for example, noting that our toddler seemed to be acting out more one week or that our twins were startling in their sleep another week). She seemed to be a partner in the care of our children, always taking initiative but never overstepping her role. Having had our toddler in various caregiving situations since his birth I know that it takes great maturity and finesse to do this; Hannah possesses both! I could write pages about our love for Hannah! Our family knows how hard it is to be working parents trying to raise loving, well-adjusted children. Hannah would be an asset, perhaps even a miracle worker, helping any family achieve the elusive balance we all seek!”

“Hannah absolutely fulfilled the requirements for my position! I work from home and I was looking for someone that was dependable and that was willing to learn Sign Language. I never had to wonder if Hannah was going to arrive on time and she was always very flexible with my schedule. Because my son is so shy, we never were able to go out without him because he was not comfortable with anyone else. Hannah is the only reason my husband and I were ever able to have a date night alone! She started caring for my son when he was 10-months-old and was with us for over two years. Every week, she worked on a skill with my son and every week I was amazed at what he was learning from her! I know that she would do a magnificent job as a part of the Bergen County After School Program. It has been months since Hannah was here, an eternity for a 3-year-old and my son still asks about her! I must add that I liked Hannah as a person as well. When she was here at the house, it was very comfortable. She certainly became like a member of our family!”

Though she cared for Hunter and Sydney for a brief time, it was at a very important time in their development.
