When students work in small groups, she travels from one group to another listening in on conversations and asking questions that enable the students to think more deeply on topics being discussed. Students feel comfortable answering questions and adding their comments. Perhaps more importantly, Marisa creates a safe environment in which students can ask questions because they don't understand something or because they want to find out more about something. Her patience encourages and supports students. Her respect for students has earned their respect for her. I genuinely recommend Marisa to work with children in any capacity.
