Are there enough nannies available? How many nannies are currently in the pool?
We have a wide selection of Nannies available for placement throughout the year. However, there is high demand for the exceptional quality Nannies we provide, so availability may be limited at times. We uphold our rigorous procedures and never compromise on the caliber of Nannies we accept into our database. Inquire about the management of taxes: How are taxes handled?
We highly recommend GTM Payroll Services as the preferred company. For families hiring an ABC Nanny, we strongly encourage utilizing the services of GTM Payroll Services. This agency is known for its specialization in household employee payroll and has built an excellent rapport with both our families and nannies.
Should I provide additional perks for the nanny? Are there any other advantages I should consider offering the nanny? Are there any additional benefits I should provide to the nanny? Is there anything else I should offer as a bonus for the nanny?
ABC Nanny Source acknowledges that it is not responsible for determining the benefits provided. However, families should keep in mind that in order to attract and keep highly sought-after Nannies, it is essential to offer a competitive benefit package. Such a package should include two weeks of vacation time off for full-time Nannies (with one week coinciding with the family vacation and another week at the Nanny's discretion), paid major holidays, and paid sick time.
Are we obligated to employ the nanny we hire for a minimum of one year?
No. The responsibility solely lies on the Nanny and ABC Nanny Source. Your family is not obligated to provide continuous salary or employment to the nanny if you no longer require her services. The agency mandates all ABC Nannies to sign a one-year commitment pledge for acceptance, and to address any unlikely scenarios where the hired nanny doesn't work out, the agency offers a one-year guarantee to each family. However, it is important to note that your family is not under any obligation to continue providing salary if you no longer need nanny services for any reason, such as relocation, parent's job loss, or the decision for the mother to stay at home. This advantage is significantly better than that offered by AuPair Agencies and agencies providing nannies from distant areas.
Is there any kind of training involved in becoming a Nanny in IL?
Before being accepted into our database, ABC Nanny Source mandates that all applicants possess a valid CPR Certification.
How does the one-year guarantee work?
Rest assured, we pride ourselves on the fact that the need for a new nanny search is a rare occurrence. However, if, for any reason, your nanny simply does not work out within the one year timeframe, we will be more than happy to initiate a fresh search for your family and offer our full assistance in selecting a suitable replacement.
Do you have bi-lingual nannies?
Indeed, being fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English is an essential prerequisite for all nannies according to our placement counselor. Additionally, numerous professional nannies in our database are also proficient in other languages like Spanish, French, and even Sign Language. If you have a preference for a nanny who speaks one of these languages, please make sure to communicate this to the placement counselor assigned to your family. This way, she can take this into consideration when choosing suitable candidates for your position.

Does ABC Nanny Source offer live in and live out Nannies?
ABC Nanny Source is an agency that focuses on both live-in and live-out childcare services. We take pride in ensuring that all live-out nannies are placed within a convenient 30-minute radius of their desired location. This means that every candidate your family considers will be from the local area, making it more convenient for both you and the nanny.
We only need an occassional weekend babysitter – Can you help with that?
All ABC Nannies are actively pursuing long-term career opportunities instead of engaging in short term or casual assignments. Our part time Nannies, who are looking for permanent positions, require an absolute minimum of 25 hours per week.
How do you specifically choose the nannies for our particular family?
When "harmonizing" nannies with families, several aspects are carefully considered. One crucial factor is the distance for live-out candidates. We ensure that each live-out nanny is placed within a 30-minute radius of their home, ensuring that candidates presented to your family are local and familiar with the area. Another important aspect is that each prospective nanny must feel completely comfortable with your family's description and the unique needs and requests you have. We will only recommend candidates who have experience and are at ease with the age of your children. For example, if you have a newborn, we will only present you with candidates who have experience and a love for working specifically with babies. Your counselor will also strive to find nannies with a salary matching your family's request, as indicated on your family application. During the initial consultation, your counselor will ask you about the "type" of candidate you are seeking, such as bubbly, professional, religious, nurturing, etc. We make a significant effort to take this criteria into consideration when selecting the best-suited candidates for your family. Additionally, any pets your family may have will also be taken into consideration to ensure compatibility with any allergies the nanny may have. The matchmaking process requires a lot of work, but it is all done with the purpose of providing desired results.
How do I know that every candidate that I'm considering is safe?
Introducing a 10 Step Screening Process: It's natural to be discerning about who you welcome into your home. With our comprehensive 10 Step Screening Process, your peace of mind is our top priority. We meticulously verify all references, conduct thorough criminal background clearances, and ensure negative results from a 5 panel drug test done through Quest Diagnostics. Additionally, we obtain and verify vehicle registrations, professionally confirm identities, and confirm CPR certifications. We leave no stone unturned, taking every imaginable measure to ensure that only trustworthy and qualified nannies are introduced to your family.
