“Diana became a part of the Butte County After School Program at the beginning of the school year when a teacher relocated to another district, leaving a vacant position. Seamlessly, she stepped into this role, quickly adapting to the curriculum, understanding the students' backgrounds, learning needs, and collaborating with the existing staff. She not only integrated the existing curriculum but also enhanced it through immersive activities and authentic assessments for our students. As the coordinator, it is my responsibility to organize and keep a staff of approximately 15 members updated on school developments, facilitate professional development activities, and ensure professional responsibilities are met.
