“I am a caring and thoughtful individual who wants to make a difference in the lives of others! I am a hard worker and always am learning something new. I enjoy working with children, teaching, and inspiring them. A nanny is an organizer of creative intellectual activities that stimulate the child to seize his or her potential. It is also important for the children to interact with other children whether it is at a park or gym facility. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because Nannies are able to provide the one-on-one attention children need. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 5 years and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel the children are in need of one-on-one attention from someone who will understand their specific emotional, physical and mental needs. My goal as a Lehigh County Before School Nanny is to be a positive influence in the child’s life and work with the parents to make sure we are on the same page with what the child should be learning, eating, and the creative activities the child will enjoy. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes dishes, children’s laundry, and vacuuming. I will keep the children’s rooms and toy rooms clean. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am creative, caring, thoughtful, adaptable, and enthusiastic. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include reading time, math activities appropriate to their age, game time (board games like checkers, card games like Uno, and jigsaw puzzles), music time whether it be with the child’s instrument or sing-along tapes. Outdoor activities would be taking a nature walk to the park or around the block, jumping rope, or playing catch. There could be more outdoor activities depending on the child’s individual liking of a particular sport. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be communicative and welcoming!”
