“St. Georges Nanny: The Day Camp is dedicated to providing a structured program that focuses on teaching social skills and offering recreational opportunities to children and adolescents who exhibit socially inappropriate behaviors, communication and/or motor and sequencing difficulties. The majority of the camp attendees have been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome and Autism. We were incredibly fortunate to have Shelley join our team as a teacher assistant at our camp. Shelley played a crucial role in assisting the classroom teacher in planning and implementing daily lessons. The children in the class greatly enjoyed her creative approach, sense of purpose, and the patience she displayed every day. Our camp can sometimes be challenging for the children, as they may easily become frustrated or struggle with interacting with others. However, Shelley possesses the extraordinary ability to handle any situation with firmness, warmth, and caring. Moreover, she brought stability to their daily routines, which the children thrived on. Shelley's exceptional rapport with the students and fellow staff members proved to be a valuable asset to our camp. She is a remarkable young woman, characterized by her strong work ethic, sense of responsibility, and excellent communication skills. It is without a doubt that her involvement significantly benefited our program.”
