“Jennifer was an exceptional Lonoke County Nanny, consistently going above and beyond my expectations. Not only did she ensure that my young children were well-fed, bathed, and content, but she also left our home immaculate every time. Even at a young age, Jennifer had an extraordinary way with my boys, which always made them beg for her care over ours! Our families have been acquainted for 19 years, and throughout that time, we have witnessed Jennifer's transformation from a teenager to a dedicated and remarkable teacher and woman. Even when she was young, her judgment and passion impressed me. My three sons have countless cherished memories of their time in her care, where they enjoyed both play and learning. She not only made sure they were having fun, but also taught them valuable life lessons and encouraged kindness towards one another. Even now, they hold a deep affection for her and love running into her whenever they can. My oldest sons, who are now in college, still speak fondly of Jennifer. And my youngest, Ben, deeply admires her as well. Any family would be extraordinarily fortunate to have her, as she possesses all of the remarkable qualities of a great person, combined with the expertise and patience of a devoted teacher. I can wholeheartedly endorse her exceptional judgment and skills when it comes to children. If only I could have her as my own nanny!”
“I have never trusted anyone with my children as much as I have trusted Jen, the Lonoke County Nanny. Her extensive training as an educator and her nurturing personality make her the ideal person to care for your children in your absence. Jennifer and I have been friends since high school, and even back then, her passion for children was evident. Her calling was always to work with children and guide them. When we reconnected after college and I started a family, there was no doubt that Jen was the person I wanted to rely on for child care. She had remained dedicated to her work with children, and she became the trustworthy Lonoke County Nanny for my husband and me. Whenever we needed to travel for work or have a night out, she was there. The children adore spending time with Jen; she is considerate, compassionate, and loving towards them. She always arrives punctually and has a"ideas" in mind for what she is going to do with the children. She seems to have a boundless energy about her! I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about Jen. I recommend her whole-heartedly to the lucky family that gets the pleasure of working with her. It will be very hard to find someone as smart and wonderful as Jennifer!”
“Jennifer, the Lonoke County Nanny, surpasses all expectations of reliability and hands-on care. With her, my son received nothing but the utmost love, enthusiasm, and dependability. I never experienced a single moment of worry, knowing that he was in her capable hands. As a mother of only one child, I actively participated in overseeing the dedication and interaction of his caregiver. Jennifer has set the highest standard in the search for an exceptional individual like herself. Even after several years, our connection remains strong, with her making regular calls and visits to Josh. It is worth mentioning that Jennifer hails from a remarkable family that places great emphasis on prioritizing their loved ones. She seamlessly applies this familial importance to both her personal and professional life. Undoubtedly, Jennifer is an outstanding candidate for any Nanny position.”
“I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have known Jen since I was five years old. Throughout the years, I have had the pleasure of observing both her personal and professional life, and without a doubt, she is unmatched in terms of integrity, industriousness, and a genuinely good-hearted nature. Jen's positive demeanor, extensive educational expertise, and aptitude for providing structure make her an ideal candidate for the position of a Lonoke County Nanny. Any family that has the opportunity to hire Jen would be truly fortunate to have someone as compassionate and capable as her to care for their children.”
“Jennifer has been a student in my preservice class on reading and writing methods for elementary teachers at Teachers College, Lonoke County. She has always shown a great ability to connect with children of all ages, which makes her an excellent candidate for the role of a Lonoke County Nanny. Right from the first day of class, Jennifer's passion for literacy and understanding of literacy learning theories and practices was evident. She was fully engaged as both a student and a teacher intern, demonstrating her keen attention to detail.
Not only were Jennifer's written assignments for both semesters outstanding, but she also excelled in her weekly synthesis papers where she synthesized reading assignments, her teaching experiences, and class activities. I was particularly impressed with her major assessment project. Her collection of evidence for the project was meticulously analyzed and reflected her familiarity with various informal assessment procedures, such as running records, anecdotal records, conference note-taking, and interview forms. The project was exceptionally well-organized and included a thorough and precise analysis. Furthermore, her interpretations were clear, specific, and well-written.
Currently, she is working on an individual curriculum plan for Aplin elementary students, focusing on the topic of newspapers. While I have not yet graded this project, based on the overall quality of her work this year, I expect it to be theoretically sound, practical in design, and well-structured.
Apart from her curriculum and assessment projects, Jennifer was assigned to write two research-based newsletters on language/reading/writing development or instruction. Her first newsletter delved into invented spelling and was extensively researched and engagingly written. It not only explored the history and controversies surrounding invented spelling but also elucidated its implications for classroom practice. Her second newsletter was about nonfiction studies in the primary grades. Once again, her research was comprehensive, and her writing style was captivating. She offered a compelling argument for the importance of teaching nonfiction to younger students.
Throughout the course, Jennifer's enthusiasm and active participation in class activities were remarkable. She consistently assumed leadership roles in small groups, taking charge or encouraging her peers to contribute. She displayed sensitivity towards her peers while making thoughtful and valuable contributions to class discussions. Additionally, Jennifer volunteered to present her findings on published curriculum materials from the National Geographic Society. Her presentations were informative and demonstrated her ability to engage and communicate effectively with adults.
Jennifer's intelligence, knowledge, confidence, and dedication to personal growth as a teacher make her one of the most outstanding students I have encountered in the Curriculum and Teaching Department at Teachers College.”
“Having worked extensively with aspiring and novice teachers for the past twelve years in various capacities, such as a cooperating teacher, university supervisor, and professor, I confidently assert that Jennifer stands out as one of the most thoughtful and brilliant novices I have ever encountered. Even though I have only known Jennifer for a year as her professor for a year-long core foundations course in elementary education, I have no doubts about her unwavering dedication to teaching and her commitment to providing an excellent and equitable education for all students. The pre-service elementary education program at Teachers College, Columbia University, is aimed at rigorously preparing future educators with a critical and socially conscious perspective. It is evident to me that Jennifer possesses the thoughtful nature and exceptional qualities that will make her an outstanding teacher. Despite the program's demanding nature, she earned an impressive A grade for both semesters, a noteworthy achievement given the program's high standards. Jennifer exhibits remarkable intellectual aptitude and embraces the ideology necessary to create an inclusive classroom of the utmost quality. Alongside being her professor for core curriculum and theory for an entire year, I had the privilege of observing Jennifer teach on one occasion. She graciously invited me to her student teaching placement to provide additional feedback, and I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to observe her teaching, witnessing her interactions with her students, and engaging in extensive discussions about her teaching practices after the students left for music class. Jennifer believes that her role as a teacher is to facilitate lifelong learning growth in children. Her lessons are not only highly engaging within the classroom, but more notably, personally meaningful and authentic to her students' lives. I found her teaching style to be incredibly innovative and accessible to every student in her fourth-grade class. When discussing and teaching about her students, Jennifer radiates genuine enthusiasm and an overwhelming love for them, which will undoubtedly translate into her role as a Lonoke County Nanny. This sentiment is evident in all her written assignments as well. One of the most challenging aspects of our program is guiding our students to identify, examine, and reassess their values, biases, and assumptions regarding diversity, equity, and student learning. Our students often find this aspect of the program intellectually and emotionally taxing. However, Jennifer has fully embraced this facet of the program. Furthermore, all of Jennifer's papers were exceptionally well-written, insightful, and consistently ranked among the top grades in the class. Her mastery of written language is strong and will serve her well in her career as an elementary school teacher. Moreover, through these written tasks, Jennifer has demonstrated her understanding that her own growth as an educator is a continual process that requires ongoing reflection and dedication. Lastly, I want to highlight Jennifer's active participation in class discussions and my personal interactions with her. In class, Jennifer contributes stimulating comments and asks pertinent questions both to her classmates and myself. During small group discussions, she showcases her ability to work collaboratively with her peers and often emerges as a leader in these conversations. It is clear that her classmates hold her in high regard. Jennifer's positive outlook on life and vibrant demeanor reflect her value for individuals and their diverse perspectives, attracting others to her. On a personal level, I have thoroughly enjoyed engaging with Jennifer. She regularly visits my office hours, providing ample opportunities for us to develop a personal and professional relationship. She has sought my advice on teaching multiple times, successfully incorporating my ideas into her practice and then returning to discuss her experiences with me to further her growth. This particular quality of Jennifer's is among the most impressive. It exemplifies her willingness to explore and incorporate alternative ideas to enhance her own development as an educator. Her passionate and energetic approach to education and teaching is evident, as she is constantly eager to try new techniques and actively seeks to expand her professional knowledge. We have spent numerous hours discussing critical educational topics, and I have found Jennifer's perspective to be refreshing and insightful. I eagerly anticipate the years to come, as our relationship continues to grow into one of close collegial collaboration. Jennifer is a true advocate for students and upholds all that is fair and good in the world. She is an exceptional young teacher who will undoubtedly make a powerful contribution to our students' lives for many years to come!”
