Philadelphia Nanny Job: |
|
Part Time: | Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (1030am – 630pm) |
Children: | 4 months old and 1 ½ years old |
Salary Offering: | $16-$17/hour, Based on Experience |
Note: | Must be proficient in infant care |
Children's Activities: | My son is 4 months old and he enjoys basic developmental activities. My daughter enjoys going to the park for the swings and slides. The park is directly across the street from our house so no major travel is necessary. We do have a fenced in yard and she likes to play out there. I would like our nanny to do some arts and crafts with her as she gets a little bit older. |
Position Description: | My mother will be home with our children and the nanny is expected to share the workload. My daughter is closer to her, so we would expect our nanny to tend to our 4 month old more until our daughter warms up to her. We prepare everything we can so that all our nanny has to do is keep our kids happy throughout the day. Meals will be prepared, clothes cleaned and so on. We really just need someone who will keep our children entertained. Our daughter is allowed to watch some tv shows, but we would like hands on, interactive play as much as possible as well as reading to her. Changing diapers, feeding meals/snacks, and rocking the baby to sleep is also needed. Minor pet care as well including letting the dogs outside as needed, and feeding the dogs and cats. |
PARENT REQUEST: "We want someone who wants to grow to be part of our family. We are interested in someone who is warm and compassionate, but knows how to be silly and make our babies smile. We are easy going people but our work is demanding and we need someone who is very reliable so we can manage our professional lives. Previous Philadelphia governess job experience is also a major asset!" ______________________________________________________________________________________ |

“Amie has cared for our two children for 3 years. Amie always came to our home on time, cheerful and very attentive. She is a very intelligent, independent, flexible, sweet and funny young lady! Our children love Amie and will always have fond memories of the fun times they had with her. Not only was she a fun childcare provider, but a very responsible one. She always followed our instructions and they respected her as an authority. Our oldest son has high functioning autism and can exhibit challenging behaviors, as well as have difficulty expressing his needs. But, Amie’s quick, problem-solving abilities and flexibility allowed her to handle any situation well. In addition, she would always go “above and beyond” her caregiver duties and make sure the house was neat before we returned home, and our dog was happily fed and walked! We really appreciated her previous Philadelphia governess job experience since our busy schedules often caused us to need flexibility in a childcare provider. Since she has cared for our children, we haven’t been able to find anyone that can compare! Hiring Amie can assure you that your children are well taken care of. She is an amazing girl and any family that hires her will be very fortunate!”
“I have always found Mildred to be a conscientious and reliable manager who always came to work with eagerness and a willingness to be of any assistance when needed. Mildred is a pleasure to work with and demonstrates a unique ability to talk and teach children of all ages, specifically first through fourth grades, which is a required component in the butterfly habitat. Her interaction with children is sincere. Based on the reaction of the children she is teaching, you can see that learning about butterflies is not work but fun for them. All tasks assigned to her were completed in a timely manner and with the utmost care. I feel very comfortable having Mildred take care of any child in a Philadelphia governess job. Mildred’s work ethic is outstanding and she was able to absorb my training very quickly, which is a tremendous asset. I highly recommend Mildred and personally feel that she will excel in whatever challenges are presented to her.”
“I have had the opportunity to work with Joan for the past year in our children’s exhibit “Outside In” and our annual “Bug Fest”. As an intern at “Outside In”, Joan worked with a variety of groups including families, schools, and camps. The age range varies from 2 years old to adults. Most of the schools are from pre-K to 4th grade. Within this space Joan taught lessons, encouraged discovery, designed and implemented activities, and supervised our teenaged volunteers. Joan excels at getting the children interested in the various components of the room, especially our reptiles and invertebrates. In her past Philadelphia governess job, she encouraged the children to investigate with their questions and present facts engagingly. She also was good at motivating our volunteers and assisting us with training them on presentation skills. No matter her audience, she is captivating. Joan works very well with others, especially with the children. She continually demonstrates skills essential to childcare. She is patient, engaging, and aware of their needs. She also uses her creative skills to inspire the children and teach them about the natural world. It is my opinion Joan would be a fun, responsible, and over all invaluable Nanny.”
“Judith has been nothing short of fantastic! She was very good at keeping the boys active! I was never concerned with them sitting in front of the television, in fact for a good part of the day they weren’t even home! She had no problem running errands! First and foremost I wanted somebody who was nurturing, loving, and caring and Judith is absolutely that! I have two boys with lots of energy and she had no problem keeping up. She was all about enriching new experiences! She really has been fabulous! When she would play with Max and Mile, it was very obvious that she loved her previous Philadelphia governess job! She even helped the boys make cupcakes for school! I just think the world of her! Her level of work ethic and professionalism was phenomenal! During the entire time she worked for us she never missed one day! Judith was very responsible and reliable! She was nothing short of a professional.”
“Rose was always wonderful with our daughter, always engaging her in activities that were age appropriate at the time - reading, singing, and going for walks. She kept her on our schedule, and most importantly, kept her happy! Rose was a wonderful nanny to our daughter Rena from the time she was 2 months old. She only worked for us part time, but I would have loved to have her full time! She is extremely sweet and caring, very attentive and in tune to Rena’s needs, quiet and soothing when she needed to be. She was always singing, reading or rocking Rena. Rena really grew attached to her. Rose also put her previous Philadelphia governess job experience to good use while caring for daughter. She always made sure that Rena was fully prepared for kindergarten by age 4! Rose is a very well-rounded, experienced nanny and will be a fabulous addition to any family!”
