The nannies in our network all have one thing in common: they all have prior childcare experience and love children! Our Nannies are placed within a 30-minute radius of their home, so all the candidates you will be presented with will be in close proximity to you and will have a good understanding of the local area. ABC Nanny Source recruits from several resources including colleges, nursing schools, and local career fairs. We have found that our most successful and dedicated full time candidates are those who have already been serving as a Nanny for many years or those who are pre-school teachers and are transitioning into the role of becoming a Nanny using their prior teaching experience as a stepping stone into the profession. Many of our part time and after school Nannies are interested in the field of being a caregiver whether it is to become a nurse, doctor, teacher or physical therapist. Those who are interested in these fields of study are naturally inclined and have a desire to care for others, and this is demonstrated in their career as a part time Nanny!
There are often candidates who apply to ABC Nanny Source for a position but lack the experience required and we will recommend they start with an entry-level position at a local daycare or pre-school for about two years to gain the experience needed to become a professional Nanny.
